SleepyReaper
Hello and thanks for any help in advance. First thing is first, i'm a noob when it comes to add ons. That being said lets continue. Using Nexus Mods my game keeps shutting down after i click the continue option. It begins to load for acouple of seconds then just shuts down. Now i used the steam add ons and they worked fine but i think you can only have 50 of those or so i have removed them because i wanted more in general and didn't want them to clash, not that i know if they would or not. I believe i loaded them all properly from Nexus because i watched several videos about it but none of them mentions what to do when i am in the circumstance that i am in now. I should mention that if i go to the data files section when i start the game up and un-click all the Nexus Mods the game will start fine. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with subscriptions or not. There are just so many great add ons that i think i've spoiled myself and won't be able to play the game without them so any help to get them working would be greatly appreciated. TheVampireDante
1. You should never add a lot of mods at the one time. If a problem does occur it makes it a tedious job to find the source. 2. Not all mods work together. Some conflict, could be all the time, could depend on which is loaded first. There are tool and items available to check for errors and conflicts. 3. You may be missing a required file or master file for one or more mods you have installed. Again, there are tools that can help here. 4. Could just be a broken mod amongst your list of files. It happens... If you can list your mods using this: http://pastebin.com/ - someone might be able to tell you what's wrong based on what you are trying to use. Also list any other items like script extenders, mod managers, etc that you use (if any).Long way is to turn off all the mods, and turn them on one or two at a time until the problem occurs, then you know it may have something to do with the last activated files you tried. SleepyReaper
thanks for the help Dante. i ended up getting to frustrated and just deleted everything. the NMM all the mods , even the game itself since i read somewhere to many mods won't load into an exsisting game. oh well. could you give me some tips to get it right this time around. i plan on only using NMM and those tools you mentioned to check if things don't work together or if i am missing something that it making a mod not work. just to be clear. i am now basicly starting over with every thing no saves or anything to mess with before i start it this time. tonicmole
One mod at a time! It's really the best way. Install only one mod at a time. So then if you have a problem you only need to remove that mod! There is no such thing as a safe mod. Even something simple can have an unseen error that can really mess with your game. Most importantly BACK UP YOUR SAVES. Ever so often copy some of your saves and dump them in a folder on your desk top or something.
