do you still fail to realize that this site is for PC modding only?

please , for all questions regarding console modding , Bethesda.net is the site you should go to

as for the question , from what I understand , there is no way to increase the amount of mods you can get on a console , as it's set by the console company

whatever the case , Bethesda.net is the place you need to go , if you really expect answers

Wow, not the most polite response a new user might expect...

Like CrimsonxAlucard I too game on many systems and avail myself of the generosity and skills provided by authors/programmers at a wide variety of sites, for which I will in most cases provide support in the form of subscriptions, donations, alpha/beta participation and feedback. As a 44yo adult, full time father, lawyer and xbox ambassador I feel confident in saying that the response given is not one that I would have been proud of - it comes over as being patronising and obnoxious, and in no way contributes to the effort of gamers and programmers to unite the various platforms; nor I feel does it do anything to create a good impression for the OP to take away, upon which any hope of a recommendation or endorsement of nexusmods would have been based has most surely been destroyed. OP had a legitimate question and WA might have avoided failing to realise had the time been taken to look, that the OP had also posted it in the appropriate section of the boards, the "General Gaming : Other Systems" section.

If that is the standard of response given by any user here to a new member then a reconsideration of attitude is highly recommended.

For the record, I'm neither trolling nor flaming and will not be drawn into debate for the simple reason that the post and reply above show the facts and say all that is necessary. My reason for posting is simply to suggest that common courtesy deserves a higher place in the priorities of those wishing to respond to questions than is apparent in the reply above, to avoid effectively slamming the door in the face of a person who has sought out the site in order to obtain help with a question which they do not know the answer to.

Courtesy costs nothing guys, and it can create much; its absence however can cost a lot more than is immediately obvious (see OP's last online time). Peace.

Nice speech.

This is an internet forum. If you are expecting everyone to be polite, and courteous, you are going to be sadly disappointed. Sure, in an ideal world, everyone would be nice and polite. Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world.....

you are indeed correct that this wasn't the most pleasant reply I could have managed

however , that is not nearly as rude as I could have made it , and it by no means reflect me or how I treat people in these forums

if you had looked at the OP's profile , you would have seen that he has started two threads (the first being https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/6525401-downloading-mods-for-xbox-one/) , where he was politely told that this site isn't the correct address for such questions

which is why my first line started with "do you still fail to understand" , as it was a second time (and if you look at the timestamps in these threads , this one was started a few minutes after the last reply on the first thread , and both were started on the same day)

now I don't really ask for your credentials here , and I have nothing against you

I do however have more than 4.5k replies here in the forums , most of which have been me helping people solve their issues , and generally being an overly nice person (and if you check threads I've commented in , you would see this for yourself)

so could I have rephrased this in a more polite way? most assuredly (and honestly I can't say why this turned out so rude , it isn't my usual style)

however , if you ever bothered looking at the usual comment or the usual new thread on these forums , you would be amazed people are still trying to help here (most new users are rude , they being their time here by making requests without the slightest sliver of understanding for what these might entail , or if they are even doable)

so basically , maybe I was rather rude on this comment (which was wrong , and could have been written better) , but if you wish to take this as a testament for who I am , you are a terrible judge of character (and with you being a mature man , and a lawyer at that , isn't really promising)

and to be clear again , I really have nothing against you , and you are free to comment as you please (the forums could use more people that reply from time to time , rather than people making a single thread and leaving) . just don't try to judge me from a single bad example
