tunaisafish
When you want to edit a file, then make sure you select an ESP as an 'Active' file when you open it.If you don't have one of the esp's Active and you make changes, then you are creating a NEW file - which I think where this default is coming from. eric31415
I just took a peek in my data folder, no default esp. In the CK's main file-loading menu, highlight the default esp and hit the "details" button. This will list all the references contained in the mod. Should help to figure out how and when this happened. Here's my suspicion, while working on your mod you forgot to set it as active file once. When you saved that session, you didn't notice that the CK created a new file, hence the "default" name. But the CK keeps backups of everything, and probably knows/thinks that the rest of your mod is dependant on the info in the default esp, so everytime you load it, it re-creates the default from backup. If after checking the details of the default esp, you find that it should be part of your current project, you will need to merge the two. I'm not sure what tools exist for doing this with Skyrim, we used TES4Gecko for this with Oblivion. Hope this helps.
