FeRaLGoD
Problem 1: Ok guys, I need someone's help with this >LINK TO PICTURE< I get this issue almost every time I maximize the game. I think it is from the video card...My Specs are: CPU:AMD Dual 1.90 GHz 3600+ , 3 GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 9600 GT and I am running Windows XP 32bit With latest video card drivers and latest DirectX drivers...P.S. : When I Minimize then Maximize the game several times this issue gets kinda fixed but it is still annoying Problem 2: In Skyrim when I enter a house/tomb/someplace inside my game is normal for 5 seconds then my character bugs and the game speeds up for half a second then about 5 seconds normal speed again and it speeds up after that again....My specs are @ Problem 1 ....P.S.: When I Uninstall Skyrim and install it again this bug gets fixed for 3-4 hours... P.S.2.:Sorry for my bad english, I am not from an english speaking country :)

hangarspace
I can't tell you what will fix your grapcal images but there are a number of things you can try to identify the cause. It could be drivers or some other windows/gpu driver issue ie software or a physical problem with the card or motherboard, or just trying to run the card too hard. I was borrowing a card from a friend to play skyrim and sometimes got graphical problems and crashes, i then borrowed a different card and never had a problem again (such generous friends!) I never found out what the actual cause was tho both were gtx460's using the latest drivers on a very clean windows 7 install. Your best approach is a process of elimination to try to find what's at fault. How does it behaves when run on lower settings? Have you tried older driver versions? Remove and reinsert the gpu card ensuring it is well seat, sounds stupid but seen it fix things before. Ask a friend to try your card Try a different card Clean windows install Buy a nice shiny new card ! Good luck Chris
FeRaLGoD
Thank you Chris but as I said this problem only occures when i Minimize then maximize the game...I will try the latest drivers ... I was told on another forum that my problem is from old drivers..and yes I didnt update my drivers since i was getting error reports and crashes of Windows Explorer with them...but there are new ones and I hope they fixed them...Thank you for your time ! Georgiegril
So, I have the 9800...both of our cards are similar and kinda old. It looks like you are working with 512 VRAM? What you are seeing could just be graphics card overload. Is there a reason you need to keep minimizing and maximizing? You may just need to close out and restart the game instead of minimizing. There is a very useful tweak guide for skyrim here: Nvidia 20 pages of things you can try, and maybe you will find a solution there. Just BTW, a new driver update came out about 10 days ago, maybe 2 weeks...I found it to be more stable and increased my speed, more so than the "skyrim" edition drivers before that, where I couldn't notice any improvement.
