Where's the gold?

I have come across amulet/rings that are more than fifteen grand and yet no merchants (vanilla/modded) that have the money for selling. I was also thinking about the lack of gold mines that would justify the existence of gold nuggets. Why not combine the two. The Imperial Department of Commerce operates say, half a dozen gold mines. The mines could be associated with their own merchants and the quantity of money available would be dependant upon the amount of gold mined. There could be quest(s) to keep the mines operating, strikes even rescue miners from cave-ins.

You have to do what we did in Morrowind. Buy a couple high-expense items while selling the item you want to get rid of, then sell the lower-priced items back to another merchant or to the same one after they have replenished their gold. You don't get quite as much as you would if you sold the thing outright, but you still get quite a bit.

@AjaxSt Seriously? When you buy/sell something to/from a merchant there available money dose not change at all. Also you can't but and sell items at them same time, last time I cheeked. You must be using a mod or something like that because I'm certain the game dose NOT work like that.

Ah, crud...thought this was a Skyrim thread for some reason. Must've been blind, tired or both...

I do agree that there needs to be an infrastructure in Cyrodiil. I've got a mod in the works that, when I get to modifying the worldspace, will add plenty of gold, silver, iron, and ebony mines, as well as new towns, improved towns, and castles, and much more, but the rest of the mod may not be what people want.

If there is a mod to add mines and such to the world, I'd DL it.
