Omegacron
I've got a custom sword mesh that a fellow modder (Edoc?) made for me back in the Oblivion days, and I'd like to port it over for use with a Skyrim SE mod if I can. I have a low-poly and high-poly version of the mesh, along with the 2048x2048 textures I made. Can someone run me through the process of converting the mesh over to Skyrim format? Assuming it can be done, that is...
Deleted16784829User
There is a piece of software called SSE NIF Optimizer. It's meant for converting Oldrim meshes to the SSE format. Not sure if it can handle Oblivion to SSE but you could give it a try, just make sure to backup your NIF. SSE NIF Optimizer:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089/ If not, you can probably find a tutorial for Oblivion to Skyrim, then use SSE NIF Optimizer to go from Skyrim LE to SSE. TheWilloughbian
It can be done. It will help if you have NifUtilsSuite. You might be able to do it with Outfit Studio and Nifskope, as well. Basically You'll need some way to turn your mesh into an OBJ and then into an SSE compatible NIF. Then use Nifskope to graft it on to a weapon node.
