Augh3d
Hi. I reinstalled SirWho's Wizard Hats, which I've greatly enjoyed in the past, I like how they give filthy degenerate magic users a sort of uniformity, and it's just a great mod. The problem I'm facing, as in the past, is that these hats simply don't work with decapitations and I can't figure out why. Skin dismember partitions check out, armors and armor addons check out. All the hats are hair or hair + circlet slots, they show up fine, they equip fine, they don't crash or pick my pocket. But when the wearer is decapitated, they stay with the body while their resident head flies over the horizon. Both the regular and the optional circlet version have the same problem, at least for me. Having asked aboot it some months ago and got no response, I decided to fix it myself, but I can't actually find anything wrong to fix, they seem to be remarkably unremarkable and just seem to be set up like regular headwear. If anyone would be willing to take a look, or just throw any ideas, would be great.
trold
I just checked one of the nifs, and the dismemberskininstance partition is set to "spb_31_hair".It should be "spb_131_hair".
Augh3d
I just checked one of the nifs, and the dismemberskininstance partition is set to "spb_31_hair".It should be "spb_131_hair". Interestin. I'll do some more perusing, that sounds like a really good lead. Thanks! Ed; Yeah the other nifs are all this way, and it seems consistently wrong with checking vanilla headwear. So for my own future reference, stuff that should decapitate with the head would use the lower in the list partitions which are in the 100s? 131 hair, 143 ears, and so on? trold
As far as I know, yes. There are certain custom headgear (earrings and whatnot) that I have seen use other partitions, but I have not tested for decapitation issues.
