Mods requests/ideas

Hi there.

 

Here are some ideas for small mods I'd like to see (instead of the usual bloody ugly fap realm Nexus has become):

 

- A Flamer replacer:

I love flamethrowers and I used to love the original one from FO3/FONV. Something like that (with backpack fuel tanks possibly) would be awesome and better than the yellow thing in the game. Nothing "modern" looking, something that can blend in the game.

 

- More Armor Pieces:

All the armor/clothes mods I see are either too unimmersive, skimpy or both.

Blast that, something immersive would be extremely appreciated for once.

Especially "over wear" armor pieces, which is one of the coolest things FO4 has.

 

- Immersive Weapons:

The FO franchise is full of awesome weapons. FO4 has a shortage of it.

Why there aren't more modders trying to put some more of those sweet weapons in the game?

Probably too busy fapping over extra-size virtual breasts I fear...

Yet I know there ARE great modders out there, so please add some classic FO weapons to this poor game, and not COD/modern weaponry for damn's sake.

 

That's it.

 

Feel free to suggest mods that could fulfill one of these wishes of mine if you have one or some already.

 

Let's try and make Nexus a less awkward place again...

50% of those mods I already have, namely most PAs, shotguns, CL grenade launcher, Wattz's.

The others I simply don't like them for a reason or another.

 

Especially CROSS' stuff and the CBBE mods.

 

And no flamer yet, making my requests still stand, as I didn't request for power armors or skimpy clothing for fap-fuel.

 

Also, being my free opinion and request I say (hence "antagonize" too) what I want.

Skimpy/sexy/downright porn invasion mainly, the reason why Skyrim nexus and FO4 nexus platforms are generally a "no-no" for most players.

here's the pitch.

when playing survival haven't you ever noticed that the other npc's never seem to have any food or water on them?

let alone anything related to survival.

just guns, ammo and armor, if your lucky chems.
this is more apparent when dealing with super mutants and roaming bandits.

the mod would consist of existing vanilla items that are necessary for the player to survive being added to the npc's inventory

just an idea tho lol nothing serious from me lol

You're aware that CBBE is not inherently porn, right? It just adds a better looking base and skin texture for all bodies and clothes so people look less potatoey.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. The vast majority of clothing mods, be they lewd or pure, run off of CBBE as the base mesh.

So if you're going to blindly refuse anything CBBE related, you're gonna have a hard time finding decent clothing/armor mods.

 

And I'm pretty sure the people that refuse to use the Nexus because porn mods simply exist on it are in a tiny minority of players.

The Burn-ees. Taking a flame-thrower to the dominance (meritocratic) hierarchy. Not a bad idea.

 

We're sort of joking here, but I'm working on a mod with a vault that is absolutely taking this basic concept as its thematic content. Not antagonistically, but philosophically.

@Googlecat123: It's called NPC Loot Drop Rebalance. Can't post the link for mysterious reasons, though you can find it on the FO4 Nexus.

@MLeonhardt: I am not blindly assuming CBBE is porn. That would be biggottry, and a quite high level one.
I am just stating that most of the stuff made appositely to work on CBBE/all the other bodyslides is skimp/softporn (whenever "soft" is appliable) and it's not something I'm interested in. Even more if you consider that I'm never going to play as a woman (because simply I don't like it, as it wouldn't be the same experience for me). I'm fine with vanilla bodies.

And no, luckily not all good clothing mods are made for CBBE/bodyslides only. Elianora, for instance, does them both for vanilla and then for CBBE/bodyslides bodymeshes, keeping the main focus over the Vanilla versions though.

It gets a bit frustrating when you see good quality stuff being made only for some weird virtual fetish's satisfaction, which can be cultivated peacefully by everyone that wishes to in their privacy, when you think people with such a talent could do something else like trying to solve issues/lacks of the game that people pointed out since the game's release.

Now, my personal view on the lacks of this game are expressed by the requests I made in the OP: you can let me live with my opinion about the NSFW/skimpy flood and read through a pile of rant I'll be glad to write against those mods, or we can wait for some talented and willing people to read this post and maybe make me (or us, if someone else has my same requests) happy by making them true.



And, to wrap this up, I didn't say people don't use Nexus because of the existance of those mods, but because you have to literally surf through them in search of something interesting that doesn't have Ts&As in it.
"Filters exist!" you might say. Sure, when they don't filter out safe content too...but this is another story for another time.
