Hi guys and girls.

I was half way through modding Skyrim SE using NMM and now I am super pumped for Skyrim VR.

I intend to play Skyrim SE with the family. The kids love to get involved when i play that with them.

But for myself - i wanted to also mod Skyrim VR.

I want to keep what i am doing with Skyrim SE and finish it using NMM. (we are at the end of a modded oblivion at the moment)

How can i use NMM to also mod Skyrim VR?

I used MO to mod oblivion - but only by watching a YouTube video of how to do it. I am not to savvy using MO2. In fact, ive never used it.

What would you guys do? I am some what of a loss here. I've never modded anything in any other way without NMM.

sorry for the dum question. But I wanted your guys input because the videos ive seen on how to mod Skyrim VR seems to assume you aren't using NMM for Skyrim SE.

I am hoping for a *smacks forehead - "of course" moment*

Thanks in advance.

I realise that once i have modded Skyrim VR - i risk losing the family. but its worth it i think. I mean... i love them and everything.. but common - its Skyrim in VR!!!!!!!

There are VR mods already in Nexus using NMM installer. Also the new Vortex manager seems to support Skyrim VR. Maybe check that out.

I guess you have some research to do. Sorry, probably no 'smack forehead' moment. My son bought a set too, so going to see what all the fuss is about soon.

Have fun in VR.

Hi guys again.

so, i downloaded vortex. added the line in the skyrimprefs ini as mentioned in some forum.

loaded up vortex and scanned for games. It couldn't find Skyrim VR?

I played the game first i should add. saved it as early as i could.

did i do something wrong?

vortex wont find Skyrim VR? it found fallout VR...but not Skyrim VR.

gave up.

Mate! MATE! I only spent time in the intro and when the dragon lands seconds before I am about to lose me noodle...

... I couldn't play the pancake version anymore. That's is, by myself.

I've always wanted to be IN the game and now I can be.

I'm trying to get it modded in time before Friday night. My only "me time" I get.

Mind sharing your mod list?

I've got a 1080ti, so I'm hoping to use most 4k gfx mods.

I'm not too bothered about lods as very far distances won't be too visible anyway.

I am more interested in immersion mods more than anything.

That said 3d trees I am keen on.

that´s what i use.

but Honestly: i just installed what i thought was good or interesting or what i saw others use.

i got a 1080 too ( no Ti Sadly  ) and most of the time i get 90FPS ( i Only dip below if there is LOTS of smoke, like after you kill your first dragon at the tower )

just install all the mods you want and then adjust "Super sampling" until you get 90fps  ( for me that´s really important because i get sick pretty easily if i dip below 90fps )

what headset do you use ? rift ore vive ?

if you use the rift:

i use the OculusDebugTool.exe ( Part of the Oculus SDK ) to tweak my game settings.

it shows an overlay that informs you of your current fps on how much Headroom you still have left if your are at 90fps already

that way you can see exactly how much more you can push the settings ( or mods )

here is a YouTube video that explains it pretty good:
