TheSnowieMaster
For the past 5 hours, I have been going through all 70 of my mods and finding the ones that work and the ones that don't. I have been trying to run UNP Female body Renewal for a few days now actually as I have had a plan to put into motion for youtube for quite some time.I have followed every unclear instruction it gives me and I still can't get the mod to function. At first, it was an FNIS issue, as it wasn't allowing me to run any patch because of auth issues. I fixed that by manually installing the mod into the Skyrim files. The next issue I had was that I discovered that even when running NMM to install UNP Femail body Renewal, it wasn't placing any mesh or texture files into my steam directory. I was forced to manually do that myself too. I am currently doing exactly this, in this order: -Install XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE (I leave every option as it's default except for choosing BBP instead of HDT)-Run FNIS (and select "SKELETON Arm Fix", Then hit Update FNIS Behavior. This is the result I get: FNIS Behavior V7.3.1 10/04/2018 2:04:46 AMSkyrim SE 64bit: 1.5.39.0 - D:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\ (Steam) Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones) male: Default (99 bones) Reading FNISBase V7.3.1 ... All Anim Lists scanned. Generating Behavior Files...Alternate Animation mods: 0 sets: 0 total groups: 0 added file slots: 0 alternate files: 0 Creature Pack not installed 0 animations for 1 mods successfully included (character) )-Install 360 Walk and Run Plus-Install UNP Femail body renewal (Even though I have established it doesn't do anything as I have to manually transfer the desired files in and have already done so)-Run FNIS one last time and get the same result as before in the message-Then load up the game to see nothing changed. I have been following the instructions on the official Nexus mod post of UNP Female body Renewal For TBBP, and I even tried following the instructions on Dragonfly BBP Animation for SE because I was originally using that and not 360 Walk and Run Plus. This is going on way longer than I'd like it to, and I am still at a loss as to what I am doing wrong for this to not work. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers -Snowie ;D
3aq
take this as my 2c (so don't quote me on this)points in no particular order: -you don't have to run fnis until after everything you have installed to be run is finished installed. FNIS is a patcher, you don't run patchers mid way in your install order, it's not how patchers work. - nothing should override xpmsse, nothing; that's your skeleton file you mess w/ that you're pretty much shot yourself in the foot. this means, if you're using MO2: that xpmsse should be loaded as priority after unp making it take precedence. - don't worry about animation files until after you settle your character's body/preference first. the order should be bodytype/textures -> skeleton -> animations -> overhauls -> patchers. - join the cult of MO2 if you haven't already, it blows NMM outta the water and makes installation and troubleshooting a breeze, literally. You will have less issue tearing at your scalp and more time making headway in w/e progress you're trying to make. cheers, gl and hf.
Algabar
The FNIS message you quoted above clearly says that you HAVE NOT installed XPMSSE (or overwritten it with another skeleton). It should read 115 bones, not 99 and it shoudl clearly say "XPMSSE HDT" or something similar. Also, if there really was a problem with the file structure of UNP renewal, everyone would have it and the comments section would be full of complaints... The whole thing sounds like an installation problem. Maybe NMM isn't installed correctly - or you're running into some file protection / access issue. This can happen, if you installed Skyrim in one of the "Program Files" on your system drive (e.g. c:\program files (x86)\...). Switching to MO as suggested might be worth a try. On the other hand, NMM isn't as bad as the "cult of MO" thinks. I've been using NMM for years and on heavily modded games. No problems at all... That isn't the UMP mod, is it? I assume the UMP mod I am trying to use is the "overhaul" section in that order you made. at any rate, I will try to set it up with a fresh install of skyrim and see if I can make headway. EDIT: Got it to work. It must have been an issue with permissions. all sorted now. Now it's time to reinstall all the mods I want and don't want and start a new game ;D Edited April 11, 2018 by TheSnowieMaster

Now it's time to reinstall all the mods I want and don't want and start a new game  if it's an overhaul that modifies the skeleton then it's in the body/type texture category. unless specifically stated inside the mod itself that you must override the skeleton, otherwise you don't and leave it unmodified and as priority. A lot of things say overhaul, but what type of overhauls? That's the thing you and all modders should pay attention to.
