Do skyrim mods work in SE?

Some do.

If a mod contains textures only it should work.

If a mod contains meshes and textures you should run the textures through Nif Optimizer hen it should work

If a mod contains meshes, textures and an ESP youâll need to use Nif Optimizer and then resale the ESP in the new CK.

if a mod contains meshes, textures, ESP and a BSA youâll need to do the above and then use BSA extractor

None of this is full proof and you may have errors or weirdness in Skyrim even if you follow the correct procedure. If thatâs the case just wait for the mod author to do it.

I recommend Dirty Weasel Media on YouTube for his tutorials. Worked for me on numerous mods.

It's a matter of "luck" sometimes.

For my part, I have a custom follower with an unconverted .esp from Oldrim and it perfectly work. (the files who comes with the .esp are converted to SSE)

But other mods like ETaC, the .esp is good but the meshes aren't even if I converted them.
