rotarydanimal
Archive Invalidation? try this! http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37004 Edited April 26, 2012 by rotarydanimal
chucksteel
Archive Invalidation tells the game to use Models, textures that are outside of the main .bsa's! You'll need to use the method above or, toggle "archive Invalidation" with "NMM" or, "FOMM" to get custom assets to show properly in your game. chucksteel
If you download FOMM or, NMM you can do everything you need with one click all. There is a button in the programs FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) or, NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) that will set everything the way it needs to be with little effort or, computer knowledge, you just need to download, instal, launch the program, then set "Archive invalidation". Danidude1
I already have FOMM, and when i press tools and then Archive invalidation it says: Remove Archive invalidation...? Btw thanks for the help with all i have fixed the mesh problems(besides the 10 mm pistol wich is f***ed up for some reason) but pls help me with the Achive, if i still need it PS What do i do with bsa files(since the AI mod u sent me is a bsa) Edited April 28, 2012 by Danidude1
chucksteel
You should be all good with your Archive Invalidation if it's asking you to remove it when you hit the button. You can always turn it of and, back on again if you think it's not up to date. bsa's that come with mods just get placed in your data folder with the mod. some mod authors will pack up there assets into bsa's for convenience for the mod user. Danidude1
ok..thank. but if i allready have Archive Invalidation, do i still need the mod? and do the things in the fallout.ini file?
chucksteel
no because you have FOMM and you've already done your archive invalidation with it.
Danidude1
Okey, Thanks a lot guys, you have help me as much as possible. I now understand how to make all the mods work properly, besides i only have to issues left. Some of the houses in goodspring (especially doc mitchels) where there a a lot of this red marks that means problems with the meshes. But i dont know wich mod is doing this. Do annyone else have this problem? The other issue is that the 10mm pistol is only a big red square.
chucksteel
first, turn all mods off in FOMM, launch the game and, see if it it's working properly. Next, turn a few mods on, launch the game. launch the game to see if it's sill working. If not you've narrowed down the issue and it is caused by one of the mods you just enabled. If there is no issue enable a few more mods and try again. rinse and, repeat until you find the troublesome mod. Sorry to say there is no quick fix on this one, you have to go through your load order and test until you get a stable game. some mod your running is ether bugged or, you installed it improperly. things like the 10mm pistol and, Doc. Mitchals home should be just fine unless you have a mod that breaks them. chuck
