Naktis
Nawen had no time to check on her friends, all her attention was focused on the Fallen who kept attacking her no matter the acid rain or the hook that Tak'we threw at him and at that moment she caught a glimpse of thri'kreen who was battling the hook horrors. The hook left a nasty wound on his side, ripping even through his armor but he ignored the pain and blood, or at least tried to. The drow thought of herself as a decent fighter, she had always walked out alive from previous battles before but now... she wasn't so sure. None of her attacks, even the successful ones stopped the Fallen, they hadn't even slowed him down. It seemed that he knew what she was trying to do, just by her stance he could tell which fighting maneuver she's going to try next. Her own injured arm was mostly healed by Rhaine's spell but she had received more injuries. Aedan swung Chaos towards the drow but she ducked down and instead of hitting her the Fallen decapitated one hook horror who was looking for a prey. "Damn it!" He cursed and glared at Nawen. He was getting tired of her attempts to avoid his attacks, even know she was moving towards the broken window. "The coward's fleeing." He thought but then something that he wasn't expecting happened. As soon as he stepped closer to the drow she said something he could not understand and the shroud of darkness covered them both. "Darkness. Should have known." He thought as he stood still hoping to hear her movements but the only thing he could hear was the sounds of battle. He felt a stinging pain in his shoulder. The Fallen groaned and pulled what he thought was a knife. "You'll pay for this, drow." He threatened. Darkness was the only thing that could have given her a small chance. Nawen edged as further as possible from the battle so no one, most importantly her friends wouldn't be affected by it. Unfortunately not only she could not see in the darkness despite her inborn ability to see in the dark but she also had no idea where the others are. Aedan stood still in the same spot hoping to hear the drow but his hearing wasn't as sharp as hers. Suddenly he heard a gasp coming from in front of him. He reached out with his hand and grabbed onto her arm but then he suddenly tripped over a chunk of rock from the ceiling and fell out of the window pulling Nawen with him. The two fell to the ground with a loud 'thump'. The drow tried to jump back to her feet only to be pushed back again. She screamed in pain as the Fallen stabbed her to abdomen with her own hunting knife. It hurt a lot more than it should have. "Told you, you'll pay for that." He hissed. His eyes full of malice. mythicdawnmaster
"Tsk tsk, don't get so worked up Rhaine." Ravenna taunted, suddenly stepping forwards and landing a backhand blow across Rhaine's face, with the force of a gauntleted hand. With Sune's energy, she had an increased strength, and while most definitely no adept in hand-to-hand combat, she could still kill. "Just give it to me... And i won't have to hurt you." AurianaValoria1
Rhaine grunted as Ravenna's hand hit her in the jaw, dislocating it, and she tasted blood as the edge of her teeth sliced into her cheek. The Doomguide quickly popped the bone back into place and hissed, "You think I'm afraid of a little pain?" Her armored fist then came sailing into the witch's nose, and before Ravenna could react, the Doomguide tackled her to the ground.
mythicdawnmaster
"Ah!" Ravenna cried in pain, hitting the ground hard, blood streaming from her nose. Ravenna shifted position, bringing her arms up, and gripping hard on Rhaine's shoulders, she shifted their positions, rolling so the Doomguide was beneath her, Ravenna's knees upon Rhaine's chest, her golden hair fallen from it's bun, framing Rhaine's face as it fell over it. "I should hope not, because you will feel a lot of it!" Ravenna spat, as her hands violently squoze Rhaine's throat, her long, black nails digging into her soft, creamy skin. Keeping one hand firmly on Rhaine's neck, leaning her whole body weight onto that one hand, with her other she felt around Rhaine's pockets for the Pommel, eventually pulling it out, and holding it between her fingers. "Now... you die."
GrueMaster
Tak'we's rage kept growing as the fight continued. Aricia's down, Arva is dying, and Nawen is severely outmatched. He couldn't lose his new friends, not these strange softskins who'd given him kindness when all others shunned him. He saw Rhaine summon some sort great, hellish beast and dived out of the way as it ripped apart the horrors. Hissing in pain as he landed badly on his side, he picked himself up in time to avoid being trampled by the beasts. What is that? he wondered for moment, then began fighting again. As he fought with the last few hooked horrors, he felt suddenly renewed, his wounds from his earlier fight having been healed by Rhaine's spell. Finishing off the beast in front of him, he ripped off the bandages on his formerly broken arm, but didn't pay it any more attention. His full strength returned, Tak'we unleashed all of his anger: angry at losing a friend, angry at those who'd hurt his friends, angry at his slave master, angry at simply being angry. The thri'kreen became a veritable storm of blades, closing in on the last couple of horrors, his gythka blurring as it spun impossibly fast in his four hands. The two hooked horrors in from him gave a shriek that was quickly cut short as seemingly dozens of bloody lines appeared across their bodies, Tak'we shrieking in animalistic pleasure as they fell, memories as an arena pit animal clouding his mind. The last two hooked horrors charged at him, but Tak'we held his ground, readying his gythka against them. One hooked horror shrieked as it impaled itself on the polearm, falling and taking the weapon with it in its death-throes. Before he could retrieve his weapon, the last horror was upon him, screeching in rage. Answering the beast with his own challenge, the thri'kreen dodged to one side, his clawing leaving slashes in the beast's exoskeleton. He leapt on top of the hooked horror and began pulling hard. The creature tried to claw at its assailant, but Tak'we was out of its reach. With a gut-wrenching, ripping sound, the enraged thri'kreen tore off the beast's head and jumped from its back as it fell. He gave a screech of fury and bloodlust. Then he noticed a dark mist in one part of the chapel, Nawen and her assailant disappearing in it. Yanking his gythka free, he ran into the magical darkness, surprised that he couldn't see but not worried: his sharp hearing would help where his eyes could not. Straining to hear anything in the darkness, Tak'we heard the sound of a dagger being pulled, then Nawen's scream of agony. "NAWEN!" he screeched, charging blindly towards her voice. He heard Aeden threaten his friend and reached out with clawed hands, finding then pulling the Fallen away from the dark elf. "Ssstay away from clutchmatess!!" Tak'we screamed in his face, and bit him on the shoulder, releasing a strong paralyzing toxin into the wound. Without another word, the thri'kreen threw the softskin in his grasp, sending him flying from the magical darkness. Kneeling where he could hear Nawen, he felt around for her and cradled her gently in his arms when he found her wounded. the red haze blindling him now gone, he hissed softly. "Are you alright, Nawen?"
AurianaValoria1
"Not...yet..." Rhaine croaked, sending a left hook into Ravenna's jaw. She had felt the witch's weight shift from her knees to her hand, and that was where she made her mistake. The Doomguide vaulted her body sideways, flipping over with all her strength and tossing Ravenna off of her.
mythicdawnmaster
"Ughh!" Ravenna grunted, as she lay on the ground, her jaw bruised and burning with pain, but that wouldn't stop her, not now! The witch attempted to get to her feet, but fell, lying of the floor once more. Her second attempt was more successful, and she stood tall once again, her walk accelerated as the battle reached it's final moments behind her, her Hook Horrors meeting their end, and some of the severely damaged parts of the temple collapsed, Her eyes were focused one one goal: Sune. Green chains of energy still bound the goddess to the plain, her anger rising, but no matter her struggle, no amount of godly energy would break the chains of Miora's eye. From it's sheath, Ravenna pulled the obsidian dagger, turning it over to insert the pommel. There was a loud flush of energy, as the blade came to life, it's many markings now glowing with an eerie purple. Ravenna raised it high, and brought it down, intent upon stabbing the Goddess Sune in the back of the neck...
AurianaValoria1
With all her fear, anger, and desperation, Rhaine launched into an incantation that she knew but had never yet used. It was complicated...but it was all she had left... Damnation. Her body floated into the hazy air, orange and yellow tendrils of magic wrapping about her. Her eyes glowed solid white as the Infernal words flowed from her lips. The magic followed her pointing finger, swirling around Ravenna's own body like flaming whips. The ground beneath the witch broke open, fire spouting from the gash...horrific screams, yells, and jeers following as the terrible power took hold... ...to drag her into the Hells. Naktis
Aedan was about to strike a killing blow when suddenly a huge insect like being pulled him away from the drow, screamed in his face and bit him on the same shoulder he was stabbed in earlier. He watched as the huge bug creature cradled the drow. "I will kill you..." he trailed off as he suddenly started to feel dizzy. The Fallen dropped his sword, Chaos on the ground. What happened to him? What in the hells that giant insect did? And then it hit him. Poison. Even if he was powerful and had many useful abilities, immunity to poison wasn't one of them. He found himself unable to move, the only thing he could do was to glare at the two. Surprisingly enough, Nawen felt no fear. She was only worried for her friends. Aedan was a formidable foe and he proved too powerful for her to handle, at least for now. She tried to get back up but he pushed her down again and as he was about to strike Tak'we attacked the Fallen and stopped him quite easily. "Thank you, Tak'we." She thanked the thri'kreen as she felt him kneeling beside her. "The darkness will soon fade." She added and for a moment remained silent. "We should get back to others. They need help." mythicdawnmaster
Ravenna's smile was cut short as she stumbled forward, the dagger falling from her grip, and dropping into the hells bellow, shattering in a huge explosion. "No! NOO!" Ravenna screamed, her eyes wild with Fury "This... is not the end Doomguide! I will not be defeated here!" She raged, stepping forwards onto the crumbling floor, that was all the witch had, if only for a moment. "You damn me to hell?! I shall find a way back! I have spent five centuries surviving, and i shall survive yet another!" Ravenna's plans had crumbled, and her goals shattered... Tears streamed down her face as she broke into hysterics of rage and sorrow "I will have my revenge!" She screamed, "Ahhhh!" her face contorted with rage, she looked more like a demon that a human being. Her hands searched shakily around her dress, in one final attempt of murdering the goddess. She drew Lords Bane , and attempted to slash Sune... but the gap between them was too long. "No!" She cried, spinning around and throwing the barbed, curved dagger, as it left her fingers she touched the release mechanism for the blade's retractable edge, transforming the small dagger into a long, thin needle. it spun rapidly, cutting through the air as it headed for Rhaine, all of Ravenna's anger behind it. And found it's mark in Rhaine... Edited January 12, 2013 by mythicdawnmaster
