mythicdawnmaster
Xallistine watched the group from the ledge his house was perched on, one hand on his tentacled beard, the other counting the adventurers. He grunted and continued to watch them curiously... he was old... but these could be the Adventurers he has been searching for all of his years in issolation. The light from inside his house shone as his door was open, and his shadow was cast down the ledge.
AurianaValoria1
"We should be careful," Rhaine warned, "Beautiful though it is, it is still a Drow city, and they care not for intruders. And even at this distance, we run the risk of encountering patrols." She extinguished her light and donned the amulet Byron had given her, momentarily silent as her eyes adjusted to the strange new illumination of infra-vision. BaldurAnthology
"I understand you may have... objections, but it would be wise for me to address you in such a manner, in case we encounter other Drow." Caladus replied to Nawen. Byron walked over, white as a sheet, holding up one of his many charms. "Mind Flayer. Powerful one too, this charm's chimin like nae taemorrow!" The charm was giving off a persistant warning chime. Byron muttered a quiick word and the charm fell silent. "We'd best be on our guard." Caladus replied, tightening his grip on his staff. TheBestIdiot122
Norgold made a fist, and his orb slowly faded out. He reached into his pouch and also put on his amulet. As he did, his eyes began to adjust to the darkness with his new vision. It was quite odd, but he figured he would get used to it later on. On the other hand, he hoped that they wouldn't have to sneak around in the first place, but whatever kept them safer he supposed.
tokyobiohazard
Ianthe put her amulet on and frowned at the strangeness of infravision. It was almost like everything was dimly lit by a flame, but she could make out everything, even things in what normally would be dark corners or obscured by shadows. She stretched and yawned as they walked on, feeling almost bored, if not for the creepy noises that echoed around them.
AurianaValoria1
Out of the corner of her eye, Rhaine spotted movement down a corridor. She barely caught a glimpse of a gigantic eyeball... "Beholders!" she hissed, "Ready your weapons!"
TheBestIdiot122
Norgold noticed the Beholders, quickly approaching them. He unsheathed his mace, and slowly walked over to the cliff to the side of them, he couldn't see the bottom, but he turned to see a Beholder, right above him. He quickly hit it's eye, and it tried to make a sound, however it fell over the cliff.
mythicdawnmaster
Xallistine walked to the very edge of the rocky ledge, standing tall with his arms crossed across his chest, he watched the group intently, noticing the Beholder appear from the shadows, he chuckled to himself. It would certainly worm out the weak. He could sense the strength within the group however, they were a remarkable bunch... and he sensed something that worried him ever so slightly, more intrigue than worry however.. One of them was touched by a god... that was all he could tell from this distance.
tokyobiohazard
Ianthe drew her scimitars and stood with her arms outstretched in front of herself, "What in the gods' names is that thing? It's ugly!!!" Hazel stood close behind Ianthe, a tactic they'd become accustomed to using back home, "For once, I think you took the words right out of my mouth." AurianaValoria1
Rhaine cast a prayer, the vitalizing green magic strengthening her allies and putting a damper on the beholders' powers, "Don't look them straight in the eyes! Try to blind them!"
