nethgros
Horo nodded, now noticing the small wolf Nawen spoke of. "Well good luck with training, I'll see you later," he said making a mock tip-of-the-hat movement before walking into the inn. He entered just in time to overhear Rhaine speak of the important quest they were undertaking, and of which he wasn't certain of the details. He took a seat not too far from Rhaine, who was speaking to a woman who seemed to be of drow descent. He was under the impression that drow were rare above ground, yet it appeared as though this group had at least three... "So when do we set out to hunt down this dracolich? I am loathe to stay in such a populated area for a lengthy amount of time."
Deleted6317247User
When Nawen made her way out of the town, she noticed that there's no good enough place to train Rhegar. She could see a forest in the distance, but it was too far away to go solely for training. "Looks like we'll have to hunt some other day." She said as she looked at her wolf companion before heading back to the town. She returned to the tavern only to hear that more people were interested in joining their group. "What did I miss?" She asked as she sat at the table.
mythicdawnmaster
Boats and booze. What a combination... Aurora barely remembered her own name by the time she had finally awoken, huddled and contorted at various angles, her hair a coppery tangle and her makeup smudged lines down her face. Her blue jumpsuit had seen better days for sure, and she'd neglected to change into anything she had found in the Dragon's lair. It was all sitting in her room... or the storage bay... or thrown over the rails in drunken stupor. She winced at that last thought. Attempting to stand from her awkward position, she unfolded her legs and pulled her arm loose of the keg she had seemingly slept atop. Classy Aurora, real classy... She chastised herself as she made it to her feet, only to elicit a squeal of surprise as she attempted to lean back on her heels. One of them had snapped clean in two, sending the bardess straight onto her back. Again. Muttering various curses from a multitude of different languages (that was as far as the half-elf's linguistics had developed...) Aurora ripped the black leather sandals from her feet and looked upon them as a child would their dead kitten. Stifling back a cry of materialistic loss, she tossed the heels aside with a whimper, fighting back the urge to run to her fallen heels and cradle them. What in the hells would she do without them?! She hadn't walked without a pair in... oh gods, when was the last time? Making her way out of the ship (incredibly awkwardly as it happened), she stumbled over cobbles, and wove through the townspeople who looked upon her hungover visage as they would an Abyssal demon itself. Did she really look that bad? Her reflection in a nearby window ruled that statement true, case closed. Quickening her pace in an attempt to both find her companions and find shelter from the peasants who would no doubt prod her with their pitchforks, just to make sure she wasn't a demon, Aurora cursed her lack of footwear in again, a multitude of languages. Finding the Inn after a while of weaving, meandering and swerving, she smiled at her friends through the open door... And fell flat upon her face the moment she misjudged the step. Now a heap of tightly knotted hair and torn blue fabric upon the tavern floor, she shivered as the draught caught her naked feet and made an unsuccessful attempt at dragging herself to her feet, oblivious to the new arrivals whom she had yet to introduce herself. What phenomenal first impressions they were to receive. Edited March 3, 2014 by mythicdawnmaster
AurianaValoria1
Rhaine was about to ask Zorica another question when a middle-aged man entered the inn, asking for clarification concerning the subject of their conversation. The Doomguide felt as though she were being sized-up, but before she could reply, Zorica did it for her, waving her hand casually as if the situation were nothing concerning at all, "Dracolich. Cult of the Dragon. Taking over the Realms. All that good stuff." The paladin then gestured to a waitress to bring an ale, and she promptly seated herself with Rhaine and the half-vampire. As soon as her drink was brought, she took a deep gulp of it, blinked, and then took Sir Meowsalot into her hands, petting the tiny furball as she examined Tenebris. "You're not typical for one of your kind," she finally said, meeting the priest's scarlet eyes with a grin, "Although...haven't been in the church that long, so little opportunity to see the varieties of undead out there. Not that you're undead - just half un-...er...'para-human,' as you seem to prefer. Well, as you may have noticed, I'm not your typical paladin, either. If everyone else in this group is as...non-stereotypical as we are, we should all get along just fine." Meanwhile, Rhaine spoke with Horo, "We're leaving around midday tomorrow. We should give everyone plenty of time to rest and buy supplies before we head out. The Shaar is vast and treacherous, and we will need to be well-prepared." Turning and placing a hand on Nawen's shoulder, she added, "Nothing much, my friend. I think you are already aware of our newcomers." She gave Rhegar a passing pat on the head before starting at a sudden crash... ...only to see Aurora fall into the inn, a positive wreck, her clothes torn and makeup smeared all over her face. "Aurora!" the Doomguide exclaimed, rushing over to check for injuries, "Are you all right?" Zorica raised a thin eyebrow, "She do that a lot?" "It hasn't been this bad before," Rhaine replied, "Though she does have a tendency to overdo the alcoholic beverages...and other things." "Mmm," was the paladin's only reply as she took another deep drink of her ale. Edited March 4, 2014 by AurianaValoria1
Brutii
Daud opened his mouth to speak, only to be cut off by the sound of someone tripping behind him. He spun around and scanned the room, his eyes fell upon a woman who had fallen as she had entered. He folded his arms and cocked an eyebrow as he spoke "Someone drunk?" he asked as he continued to examine the woman. She was certainly in some state. He turned his head slightly so he was looking towards the Drow Paladin woman who had spoken, he glanced quickly to the odd man she had referred to as 'Parahuman', whatever that meant. He turned his head away from that man quickly and back to the Drow Paladin. He paused, taking over the realms? That didn't sound like it would be very good for him. He continued to speak after a few moments of thinking "I'll help if you want. What you just said will affect me if you don't manage to end it." He uncrossed his arms and stood slightly at ease before continuing "My name is Daud, who are you?" He asked them openly, glancing to them each in turn, glancing to the drunk woman in slight concern before shrugging it off. She'd probably be fine, the fall sounded like it might have hurt but she didn't seen to be seriously injured at a glance Edited March 4, 2014 by Brutii
mythicdawnmaster
Aurora moaned as Rhaine approached, using the last vestiges of her energy to sit up. She smiled at the Doomguide warmly for her concern and remarked "I'm fine, I'm fine, it's nothing! There was just an abundance of booze on the ship and... no one to drink it with. Got a little carried away! " her speech was slurred and her head spinning, a rather distinct tone of doubt apparent in the Bard's voice even in her semi-drunken state. Aurora would always say she simply 'had a little fun', but her drinking had never gotten quite so excessive... at least, she couldn't remember it having been. Aurora was an alcoholic, that much was apparent. "I'm not injured, everything is fine!" She announced cheerily, but the trickle of blood that passed over her top lip ruled differently. Following the blood with her fingers she touched her nose and winced. She must have hit it on the way down. Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Aurora did a little of both combined into one, forcing it out as a rather comical little giggle infused with a hint of pain. Clumsily clutching the bridge of her damaged nose, Aurora continued to project her ever smiling visage, but it faded quickly as she looked to Rhaine. The Bard suddenly felt like a liability. Swallowing hard she extended an arm "If you could just help me to my feet my lady, 'tis but a scratch! I do not wish to keep you from our newest guests." she didn't look at Rhaine for fear of chastisement... what must the Doomguide have thought of her, tattered clothes, shoeless feet... she looked little better than a pauper. --- Xallistine wasn't quite sure what to do in the face of Aurora's antic's... the girl had become increasingly more dependant upon her alcoholic beverages as they continued on their journey. Perhaps it was the odds with which they were faced, the mission itself- she'd signed up to accompany them to the fair, yet had become embroiled in a quest to save the realms from unspeakable evil. Whatever the concern her most recent escapade was a worrisome thing. Seeing Rhaine had her hands full, the Ulitharid addressed the man named Daud "I am Xallistine, a pleasure to make your acquaintance I'm sure, Daud. We are but a humble party with a grand mission, I am sure the lady will welcome you to our band, assistance is something we have in limited possession." He turned his head to face the young paladin, "And a pleasure to be in the presence of another Kelemvorite, Zorica, was it? Enchanting name, welcome." He bowed his head to both respectfully. josh900
To Tenebris, Tannin let out a chuckle and muttered. "Got some bite to em, this one." He watched as the newcomers came in, one of which being yet another Paladin of Kelemvor apparently."We're getting to be a rather crowded bunch it seems. Pretty soon we'll have ourselves an army." He let out a small laugh and shook his head. "Our foes would beg for mercy if they knew." He said getting up from his seat and walking over to the bar. Before he made it though yet another person walked in, well more like fell in. Looking over and seeing it was Aurora he let out a laugh. "Was wondering where you had run off to." He said as he walked over to help her up to her feet."Lady Aurora you always know how to become the center of attention."-------------------------------------------------- Hexol meanwhile was staring wide eyed at all the new people. So many new friends to make, the Kender thought happily as he absentmindedly stuffed a rather fancy spoon into his pocket.
GrueMaster
Tak'we simply looked on at the newcomers with curiosity, wondering how many more softskins he will meet, before shrugging hopelessly at the thought, simply wishing his clutchmates well and retreating to his room with a platter of bacon-wrapped shrimp. Tenebris gave a half-hearted chuckle at Tannin's pun. I've got bite, do I? He raised his eyebrow at Shalena, not quite sure what to make of that reaction, but making him grin nonetheless. "Hmm. Maybe I'll take you up on that dinner sometime, Shalena Windsail." The half-vampire asked the waitress (when she finally dared to come close enough to him) and ordered some hot tea. While he waited he quietly greeted the other folk of the party he had just been fated to join, but kept largely to himself, only showing some emotion when a clearly drunk woman stumbled through the door in a disheveled mess. Eyes closing a moment, he opened them a moment later with a bemused expression on his face. Aurora... I can already tell this is going to be an interesting journey... Dri kept a wary eye on the pale man for a long while, only taking her attention away when she stopped to look at the woman who fell through the tavern doors. She was suddenly very ashamed and fearful when she realized it was the woman she had pick-pocketed back in Sarschel. Suddenly feeling very exposed, she shrunk up even further against her friends, trying to make herself as small as possible and hiding behind Weyland from Aurora. AurianaValoria1
Rhaine assisted Tannin in helping up Aurora, swiftly taking hold of the bardess's nose, keeping it in the correct position, and casting a healing spell on it. The Doomguide shook her head, "I would ask that you be a bit more careful in the future. You are far more help to us when you are not inebriated." Zorica, who was thoroughly surprised at the presence and greeting of the Ulitharid, nevertheless did not show it on her face. She merely smiled and nodded in response to him. Now I've seen everything. Rhaine then turned to Daud, "I am Rhaine Alcinea, Chosen of Kelemvor. If you wish to aid us in our quest, it would be appreciated. You speak words wiser than you know; this dracolich's rise to power will affect every person in the Realms if it isn't stopped. It is something that most are blissfully unaware of, and those who do know of it, I feel, have an obligation to stop it - for all our sakes. Speak to the others if you wish more details. Otherwise, prepare to begin a journey across the Shaar on the morrow. In the meantime, I'll be in my room upstairs, studying our route." With that, she turned and went back up the inn stairs, entering her room and closing and locking the door behind her. She spent the rest of the afternoon pouring over Valthanarax's map and the various notes she had made over the course of their journey. mythicdawnmaster
Aurora's face split into a grin as Tannin offered her a hand, and so with the assistance of both he and Rhaine, Aurora was back upon her feet. She was slightly surprised as Rhaine took a hold of her nose, but the soothing energies of the healing spell transformed shock to bliss in but moments. The spell had done it's job perfectly, the bleeding stopped within a few moments and the break was repaired seamlessly. Her nose looked exactly as it did before the fall, minus the blood already escaped. "Thank you Rhaine... I am sorry, I don't know what took a hold of me" She sighed heavily "I'll do my best to restrain myself as you ask." A phantom of a smile crossed her lips, but she was truly thankful to the Doomguide. She'd have to repay the favour somehow... well, once she was back to a suitably normal state, that was. Remembering Tannin's earlier comment as she settled herself down in a chair, she smiled at him warmly "I bring the stage with me when not upon it, Tannin, you should know that by now." She said with a jolly chortle, but her euphoria was short lived as her eyes drifted down her front. Sighing heavily she looked at Tannin with a heavy pout "Look at the state of me. My outfit, ruined! Oh what am I going to do? I have not a pair of heels to my name any longer!" She sighed heavily again and clutched her head "I damn well hope there is a tailor somewhere... ugh my head." She groaned loudly, and placed her head onto the table to brood.
