Dual Wield - Parry

Since Dual Wielding can't block (Or parry for some reason), can we add it to the game through scripting? A seperate button for it or something.

 

I imagine it will be something like the moment the enemy strikes, you hit the parry button, your character gets some kind of active ability on them for a small second (0.5 seconds or so) and if you are hit inside that time frame your character will execute a counter move that STAGGERS the opponent. I imagine an active ability that lasts for said time frame that triggers if the player is hit by a melee attack, some kind of shield...

 

If we can get this ability working somehow we can then start adding animations to it...

 

Actually now I am sort of inspired to do this myself... Problem is I don't know what this would require of me.
