  1. Salutations. I'm looking for a mod that enables looting of traveling merchant/pack brahmin corpse. (on sale items) ~Cheers
  2. Imperial vs Stormcloak thread was an enjoyable read, there's talk about right/wrong a side was and how things should have been, some even changed allegiance! But there were less of those who actually came up with a solution, a plan to overcome them. We saw how the Thalmor manipulated WGC to incite violence against the Empire. So, if you think the Empire were in the right and the rebellion wrong, what would you have done to rectify it in a manner that would have been deemed appropriate by both Nords and Redguard? If the Concordant didn't come to pass or rejected halfway, what would you have done as TMII? What would your defensive or offensive strategy be? What schemes or ploy would you devise to derail the Aldmeri Dominion invasion? Stalemate with home turf advantage by the Redguard for example. In Psycological warfare, will you use the WGC to attract sympathizer and zealots to your cause? Not forgetting the Imperial loyalist within Valenwood and Elyswer ofcourse! We saw how the Thalmor used Land and Religeon to their advantage. What treaties will you make with the surrounding provinces? Imperial Nobility, High Rock's 5 kingdoms or maybe Argonians to bolster your already empty coffers, in short economics! What of logistics? Where will you get the resources for your endeavour? There's a lot of questions but so little answers! It's certainly interesting to me to hear yours! Everyone can criticize but not everyone can lead! p/s: I'd really love it if battle strategy could be portrayed through maps and the like but that might just be asking a lot... Cheers!~
  3. Talos's Empire no longer exist when the Septim lineage ended and his worship banned. Getting rid of TMII isn't a solution either since infighting will begin anew. Remember, Ocato failed for his bid to choose a successor and TMII took it by force. The only solution I see is reconciliation between them, to release Skyrim from Imperial rule in exchange for cooperation against AD, and also with Hammerfell, although I feel that someone else must replace TMII in the attempt. At this point, discretion is the better part of valor for the Nords. In short, the Empire needs to come up with strategies to overcome WGC exploits. Getting rid just sounds so... forceful. haha.
  4. Agreed. Not everyone in the Legion worship Talos, true, but they suffered nonetheless when it was banned, not to mention the populace. Soldiers/civillian won't fight/work just as hard as when they had faith thus does not help in rebuilding, quite the opposite and cause them to split into 3 factions(IMO the entire Empire did!). The Empire loyalist, Talos worshipper and the inbetweens (civillian and potential recruits). By accepting WCG, TMII broke the Empire into pieces and gave Ulfric cause to rebel. He's the true source of conflict. Also, "In times of peace, prepare for war." WGC in effect, AD will rebuild just as much, if not more, with Black Marsh as potential ally as Dunmers are sheltered by Skyrim under Empire rule (Argonian slavery not quelled). It's naive to think otherwise especially when they are given free reign to enforce them from embassies made throughout the Empire.
  5. That depends on the perspective of the ones in conflict. Ulfric were simply trying to replicate what Hammerfell did but the difference was the Empire came down on them instead of the Thalmor. But were Hammerfell's decision to risk civil war also ill-conceived? I think not. Ulfric just lost his bet. Everything started with the Empire, esp TM2. The WCG was a double edged sword by itself. In forcing Hammerfell to seceed land and Skyrim its faith, it would've backfired on the Thalmor had TM2 clever enough to exploit it. But look on the bright side, if things didn't go accordingly, the prophecy wouldn't have been fulfilled and we wouldn't have TES5:Skyrim. *smirk*
  6. @Ezet94 +1 kudos (can't find the bloody button) ~Cheers! and thanks
  7. Salutations. Is there a mod akin to "Armed to the Teeth"?
  8. About the endorsement system: What about people who re-download the same mod that had been endorsed? I'm aware that files get updated from time to time. Plus I do think it's a good incentive for the modders that upgrade their mods at regular intervals. It could be exploited but you've got the community to point out those insidious modders :p Ignore my rent if I actually missed some details... Anyway, I don't really mind about the ads (unless it's a pop-up ad) and was kinda wondering why the Nexus doesn't have those kinds of things .. heh, which you explained on the previous news, also I usually endorse the mods I download (regardless if I use it half way) thus I welcome the new system.
  9. It will be Imperial's brief victory as I can't see the civil war ending in a stalemate nor in favor of Stormcloak (although I chose the Stormcloak having Imperials attempting to chop my head off), and later taken by the Thalmore. They kept their involvement to a minimum: 1. To rebuild military might, 2. Crushing the weary victor is better than fighting both, and 3. The Dragonborn. But being a race with genocidal tendencies, the Dominion's victory too will be short lived as Skyrim-Imperial remnants fights back. Can't have Thalmore winning indefinitely since that would mean human extinction on Tamriel plus I don't think Akatosh will let it happen.
  10. Salutations! First: It's not a boring topic. Hell, it's enlightening and informative! Second: If a user appreciates it, they'll read it through and through. Third: Being of no use in my current situation, I could only cheer you guys on and wish you guys all the luck in the WORLD! Gawd knows that we need Nexus :p ~Cheers
  11. Salutations everyone. Not sure if this question is under mod talk or mod request section but I'll ask anyway! I'm looking for a mod that makes Traveling Merchant's (and his pet Brahmin) trade inventory be accessible once they're killed. It's kinda weird that I traded with them not 5 seconds ago then killed by a Legion but nothing but what he's carrying on his person. ~Cheers
  12. Salutations and Happy New Year 2013. Hopefully with the stunning growth of the Nexus community will also bolster the PC Gaming industry this year! Looking forward to it!
  13. My point of view. There is no real need for foreign military bases in present day warfare. With ease of transportation, allied forces can be within range in a matter of weeks if not days. Are the country in question that feeble and unable to protect themselves using their own military resources that they had to rely on drunk rednecks for protection? They have our own problems like mr. local drunkard. Don't need another drunkard foreign redneck adding to it. It costs money. AND they don't need some covert peeping operation on their privacy (oh yeah, it happens, Israel on its own ally the US? *wink wink*). So my advise: Treat your neighbors nicely and with respect. Although there's also the politicians with little to no military experience (other than being in a military exhibition and alike, simply putting his hand on a rocket and says cheese for the newspapers) making the decision to have foreign placement in said country. The flaw of democracy. *sign* As far as joint training operations, it's better to say no. Teaching a foreign country how to beat your ass if you disagree is not the answer. Especially when they have satellite power to back it up. Doing otherwise will only increase their efficiency at dominating the battlefield on your own soil. Since you ask, that how I feel about the whole thing :P
  14. Instead of asking for a new one, why don't you contact the mod author and express your dissatisfaction? Maybe he would be willing to make those minor changes.
  15. Well, my idea is just an alternative to yours. While the tax collector idea will take the db around Whiterun, I was thinking more like having the db sent to ascertain a dead npc but since the idea of having db as an emissary, it very much pull the rug under my feet  This just crossed my mind when you mentioned it**. What if the quests were morally Grey instead of Black and White? Something like "no clear solution" kind of ending. At one side, you don't think a person did it, nor did the other due to the fact of insufficient evidence. Of course pc did all the investigations but the conclusion is the latter? I've played games that revolves around these (can't remember which  ), although it feels less fulfilling but it adds a little reality to it don't you think? Or if you disagree, the solution could be still be present but far down the road with another quest (unrelated). In addition regardless of the quest being completed, the pc could exact vengence/justice for the deceit. Tell me if I'm making any sense  Replies to Proventus: I couldn't find sufficient evidence to convict any of them. It was A who murdered the tax collector (lucky draw, choices on a few people) Conditions: if pc stayed his hand, the quest is completed but finding evidence will give the pc a sense of "closure". Confront or leave it be but I doubt anyone would do that. f pc chose wrong, the quest is completed but the family of the deceased will send thugs/mercs pc way. pc will still be able to find the evidence and confront. Confront Murderer: So you found out about it then. No choice. You need to die! (item trigger: writ doc.) ~Cheers
  16. You should take your time scrolling through the SkyrimNexus site. This might just be what you're looking for: Like a Boss - New Mounts Mod by fLokii ~ Cheers
  17. An eye for an eye. The way I see it, one must be accountable for ones actions and that's true justice. On account to the victim, it is within the victim's right to request and is therefore not unjust. Since it falls within the criteria of a just sentence, that is, it is fully deserved, then it is not unusual, since justice is not unusual for it is needed to maintain Balance and Justice is needed to achieve it. It isn't cruelty for cruelty is only when a person suffers undeservedly. So a mother to a murdered son wanted justice and the murderer was given a life in prison sentence (1). Just to add some toppings and cream to that, the convicted is actually eating off the mother's dinner table (2). Injustice upon Injustice. Talk about Epic Fail of the law constitution. But ofcourse forgiveness is another option, although it is a given, not taken nor forced upon by a simple twist of word in the so call court of law ~ Cheers
  18. Don't know if you looked it through but I think this is what you're looking for: Dual Wield Parrying ~ Cheers
  19. don't take it to heart man. It's just that most of them armor modders aren't getting it irl so regrettably it's being realized here ... rofl
  20. That's one bizarre idea you got there. It actually made me laugh a bit lol ... The giant walking up the ambush and happens to luckily hit the closest one being the invisible pred with a 100 kilo club sending him flying atleast a kilometer into the air is a good one  ... the more I think about it, the more ridiculous it sounds but it's a good one! :D Edit: I'm can't stop from chuckling whenever I reread your post!
  21. From my point of view and the way things are going (which I've seen so far including irl) sometimes in order to start something, one needs to inspire. The inspired (i.e me) will follow :P Take for example, people who ask for mods for specific armor. They just ask for it, not even have the common courtesy of posting an image to inspire or pique the modders interest and they have the gall to say "Get your lazy ass up and do it, you selfish Modders". Well, they don't say it directly but it's plain obvious what they mean. Basic layouts of quest, make it as specific as possible and start (show some effort!).
  22. Who said it's not lore friendly!? Make a Nord Shorter and you'd get a Dwarf!
  23. Apologies if my post seem to look like it's directed towards you. It isn't. It's just that like I said, no effort for "I agree with your idea" reply. What you're suggesting isn't a solution to the problem. It's just stating the awful obvious. For example, this thread you started may not be read by those who frequent the General Discussion section plus with the amount of "ideas" the guys are having here including the bump replies, I can guarantee that at some point, it's going to be in the 3rd or 5th page within a day or 2 (if not hours) thus making the targeted group (writers, level designers) skip, overlook etc this thread. So what can we do to solve it? It's simple. Advertising. There's the signature section in the user's profile which you can edit and use to your advantage. Not self promoting or anything, I'm currently doing what you're saying! So pick your mods and contribute! Doesn't matter directly or indirectly! :)
  24. The problem lie in the community itself. One could say "I support your idea" but what effort are given to show it?
