moemac
Somehow my character has been infected with some glowing eye effect. It is always present even when I strip all my clothing and items off. I have no idea what caused it. I thought it was from wearing the Warmage armor from Omega Red but I stopped wearing that armor and still have the effect. I have tried adding a mod that changes a characters eyes like the Covereye mod and it did not fix the problem, any ideas?
iNSPiREDS
I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. Any suggestion?
Squashnoggin
I also have this problem... the "Blue Laser Beam" eyes glitch!! It happens to my characters EVERY TIME THEY REACH LEVEL 20!! I have had it happen 3 times now, ( I scrapped the characters, thinking I had done something wrong...), But, it keeps coming back! I am using "The eyes of beauty" + "Eye colors with new eyelashes" together. I have had these installed together for a long time, and my 2nd/3rd characters had no "glow" problems. Only in the last week or 10 days, has this glitch come up. I have tried removing/replacing, (with a fresh download and a complete cleaning of the Data files), to no avail. :( I am new to modding, and mod use, so, I am at a complete loss. PS: I have already done a complete scrub of all Skyrim files, both in Steam and In all my folders about a month ago, (@ the time, I was trying to deny Dawnguard DLC from loading, as I am not a fan..) Since that time, I have been adding mods carefully and one at a time, so I can find out if they 'play well with the others' ! Other than keeping the installed mods up to date, I haven't added any for a week, now. (Not that I haven't seen some I really wanna try!!) :woot: PPS: I also thought it might have been my armor choice, ( I recently found SilverLight/SilverNight ), but, like you, I tried removing it... A: from my inventory B: from my mods..to no avail.. :( Edited October 14, 2012 by Squashnoggin
OakRain
To fix glowing eyes bug; Open console in game and type; player.addspell f71d1 ; Drauger Abilities Hit enter and close console, open console again and type; player.removespell f71d1 ; Drauger Abilities Hit enter again and close console - no more glowy eyes. You can leave out anything typed after the semi colon - just left that in so you can see what it is the code controls. This happens so frequently to me that I have the two lines of code saved as two separate text files (one line in each) in my Skyrim folder named eyea and eyeb and run as bat files. You don't know what it means to me to have the claw...er..the eyes back to normal, again!! edit: proof positive that even what seems to be the worst thing that could happen to you often has a simple fix!! Edited October 15, 2012 by Squashnoggin
iNSPiREDS
I was able to fix this in the past, thanks to that fix I found somewhere else.Never had it ago though.Question is what's causing it?

In my case it always seems to occur after being Fu Ro Dah'd by a Draugr deathlord - not every time but often.
iNSPiREDS
Weird. And how is one supposed to get rid of it without using the console command? If it's some sort of "disease", shouldn't a shrine cure it?

I don't think it's an intentional "disease"..I think it's just a "%" or a " / " in the wrong place... There are a few hitches in the game code, that haven't been addressed by either Bethesda or the "Unofficial Patch" Modders...yet. If the console command works for you, as it has for me, well..there ya go!!

If the console command works for you, as it has for me, well..there ya go!! I would agree that it is unintentional - glitch/bug whatever you want to call it and I experienced it with an entirely unmodded game with one of the earliest updates -well before any additional official content was released - the only people for whom the console command will not work are the Xbox and PS3 players.PC players must use the console to fix it,and it is effective. It would be possible to make a mod to have the same effect - but is it worth it? I think the patch authors will have a hard time fixing this as reproducing the glitch under controlled conditions is very difficult.
