jaysus
ill do it with 2 wings each that has to be sufficent... still looks good i thinkif not better say so quick cause i start the 3dimensional part now :whistling:
jroin
Jay, What'r you working on next?? Just cureouse. I have an idea: You (or a 'team' of moddelers) sugjest (or are "requested" to sugjest) an designe (name, atributes, backgrond and/or alinment (good, evil, natural, lawfull or caotick)) for a item, armor, weapon or animal/race. Then see what 4 or 5 (by you chosen) designers can comeup with. Example: an armor set (including weapons) you'll get 4 to 5 different designes jet all in the same line of thinking, you can then pick the parts that you think to fit best, like, the helmet and sheeld of desinge No.1, the sword of No.2, the boots and gloves of No.3, and so on..., (you get the picture, right?) why just a named few ??? 'couse it's faster and probbebly easier that way. So..., what do you think? -Yes..., I'm still Dutch-
jaysus
basicly a good idea taken that id get payed, have a team and do that regulary lol... i just happened to have 2 weeks of nothing real important to do thus i made that contest and also to further the creativity of the otherwise FF or WoW stuff requesting bunch...if i still have the same amount of time in autumn ill probably do it the way you suggested... seems reasonable, but there also have to be these rule free design possibilities to get to a big as possible crowd and not just some hard core modders... next time ;) @meykeru could you maybe make some wing textures? i dont wanna use reallife wings would look stupid i think... natural yes (no black outlines) but not a photograph... jaysus
sure i could do a high poly for the normal only but i dont see how this would help me... the normal map has to be (correct me if im wrong...would rock) 1024x1024 for oblivion... and that few pixels i can fill by hand without a high poly map...and doing 2 swords for one is way over my work pensum i could accomplish for a hobby project... jaysus
nah i know what you mean lol... thats what normal maps are for and i need to make one anyway (thats 90% automatic as it just filters the original texture, just needs minor tweaking)... what i need is the standard texture... the thing that has the image on it... cause i have no clue how i should go at it... if i draw it it would prolly take ages but using a photo would look too realistic for that game i guess (apart from the fact that itll be hard to find a stretched wing lol... mmh i have a driven over pigeon but its kinda blurry...and bloody :/)
