Tchos
Like I said, believe what you want. I'll just stick with what info is given within the games, myself. Kirkbride's a good writer, but when he says he's "filthy with power" of being able to make up whatever he wants and call it lore outside of the games, I'll pass. sajuukkhar9000
He said he is filthy with the whole topic of the Dwemer because he gets asked tit so much............... He dont think he is some definitive word of god on everything
Tchos
No, he specifically said several times in that same thread that you're quoting that he is "filthy with power".
sajuukkhar9000
No, he specifically said several times in that same thread that you're quoting that he is "filthy with power". And if you had payed attention to the thread at all..... you would have realized he was joking.
Tchos
You didn't even notice that he had said it at all! Don't accuse me of not paying attention.
sajuukkhar9000
Funny how I knew more about what was happening in the thread and the tone of the people in the thread without having to read it at all.

Hersir666
I don't think that Bethesda themselves know, as of right now, what actually happened to the Dwemer. Actually, with a lot of lore, they just kind of make it so it fits, is convenient, with the current game/storyline they have and then later adjust it as they need to with different games that come out. Now, just playing Skyrim, there are so many gaps it the lore behind the ancient nords, dragons, etc, that many parts of the timeline just don't make sense. Pentigan
My headcanon (what I believe to be true until expressly denied) says that the Dwemer attempted to attain godhood by twinging the Heart of Lokan but instead were directly turned into spirits instead like what happened to Arniel. Possibly spirits trapped in the Heart itself.
