Grenade EQUIP Hotkey

while Project Nevada's grenade hotkey works okay, it makes it impossible to VATS any sort of thrown explosives. i was wondering if someone could modify it so it EQUIPS your chosen grenade, without having to use one of your 8 hotkey slots, or fumble about trying to equip it mid-battle via PipBoy. i've searched the Nexus already, and nobody seems to have done this, but if anybody knows of existing mods, feel free to correct me on this.
