ShockaBoom1221
First I hope this is the right location for this thread. Second I was wondering if anyone could suggest mods for the dedicated stealthy archer. I was looking for mods that compliment themselves. I like to sneak and shoot, kill from stealth type of thing. The only problem is even with eagle eye its hard to hit a distant target. It seems that the arrow doesn't go where I want it to. Firing a bow in near melee is almost impossible if you play on a higher difficulty level. I want faster bow draws and arrows that go where the pointer is. It also seems that the archery aspect of Skyrim is severely underpowered. I want to hurt stuff when i shoot them. Nothing over powered. i just feel that if I sneak attack you, your health should drop significantly, be staggered, crippled or something along those lines. Again nothing over powered. I actually enjoy a challenge. Some of the random creatures that spawn take 10-12 shots to kill. To me that's nuts. Also a sweet looking bow and armor would be awesome. Leveled if possible. I currently use several mods. These are... SkyMoMod.esm EagleEyePerk.esm ApachiiHair.esm RaceCompatibility.esm Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Realistic Lighting.esp Realistic Lighting Patcher.esp SkyMoMod_lists.esp Weapons and Armor fixes.esp Weapons and Armor fixes - Hacks.esp Complete Crafting Overhaul.esp DeadlyDragons.esp DeadlyDragonsArmory.esp AT - Faster Arrows Improved +100%.esp AT - Merchants Arrows +25%.esp AT - Recover 50% More Arrows.esp AT - Increased Progressive Damage +50%.esp GreenWaterFixForWATER.esp OrientalRace.esp UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp Dovahkiin Mercenary Armor and Weapons CBBE.esp ArcheryPowerBalance.esp Speedy__Archery.esp Edit* Forgot my manners :) Please and thank you! zheng
i may help you with your accuracy of your arrows... if you add [Combat] fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0 fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0 f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 to your Skyrim.ini to remove the aim assist and your arrows should hit near the center of your crosshair. Also add [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000to hit targets far away. If you don't add this the arrow will go right through your target without doing damage. Maybe you've done this already since it is written in the description of Arrow Tweaks. If not, maybe it helps
ShockaBoom1221
Ya I did add those [Combat]fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 Did something screwy where I was aiming at targets within 30ish yards centered on the chest, the arrows were going straight over their heads. Thats what made me start this topic was frustration :P
Vinth
I found that the last part in: [Combat] fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0 fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0 f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 Should say [Combat] fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0 fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0 f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=2.2 if you want price aiming in third person view. Snockis
I would recommend you to get the mod AutoPV , it changes your camera view to fpv when you string the bow, well that is if you run in 3rd person view.I for one can't play without it now. :-)
GrimyBunyip
Did something screwy where I was aiming at targets within 30ish yards centered on the chest, the arrows were going straight over their heads. Thats what made me start this topic was frustration http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/tongue.gifhttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33395/SkyTweak had autoaim settings. so what exactly is it you want to do?do you want to disable autoaim completely?because doing that means the arrows wont go to your crosshair anymore. or do you want autoaim to always go to where your crosshair is aiming but not veer away from your crosshair just because there is a baddy next to the crosshair? either way there are instructions inside the mod, just highlight the autoaim settings with your mouse to read those instructions. MasterZoen
What I'd like is for the arrows/bolts to actually go through the center of the crosshairs regardless of distance or point of view like in Skyrim Realistic Archery Bows and Arrows by SIDWULF. I'm just not a fan of many of the other things he's done in that mod.
MasterZoen
Just using the tweaks listed in the Arrows and Bolt Tweaks mod and that mod, my arrows tend to go right through the cross hairs 98% of the time. The 2 percent of the time it doesn't is when I'm blocked by a tree in some weird way. I don't use any other mods that affect arrow/bolts. I should note that I almost never use 3rd person view, due to the UI interaction issues of interactive location not correlating to where the cross hairs are in relation to the character body. I use the customizable camera mod to make that better, and my arrows are still centered almost perfectly in the cross hairs.
