Thasic
Soooo, the OP has no problem with murder, destruction, witchcraft, demons, werewolves, vampires and assorted mayhem because it is make believe, a game, not real. Buuuuut, he has an issue with his make believe character PRETENDING to pray to a diety that does not really exist. No problem with one type of sin but problems with the other, is that about right? MagnetDrake
Sorry for not speaking up earlier, even thou your clearly a troll, ill answer. I follow the ten commandments in game. I don't deal with any of the gods or Dedra in game, if i get sucker punched in i tell them to go screw themselves. I don't use anything that has connection to Skyrim gods. On Sundas I read my Bible with the commandments and rest. Honor father and mother don't really apply. I don't kill unless i am defending myself (its in the bible, read it sometime.) I don't have any fornication mods so adultery is out. I don't steal, lie or covet my neighbors belongings. Do these limit the game play... yes. But if you want to be true to your ideas then there is no reason that you can not choose your own playing style. Oh, and before you flip about the Thu'um i count it as a gift from god because he made me.... i may have gone too far but there you are.
tetradite
Yeah I should add really I don't speak for the OP or his motivations. But that post by Thasic seemed somewhat pointless, especially since this was basically a dead thread, so I couldn't resist replying ;) MagnetDrake - don't speak up if you don't want to - you don't need to explain. A lot of us (non Christians) understand what you're doing even not agree with with the specific details. Even a game like GTA I only get violent in self defence, I will use, but not kill prostitutes and spend ridiculous amounts of effort trying not to run down random pedestrians when driving. Even if the only reason I'm driving fast is to escape the police because I shot a gangster's face off, it still feels wrong to me - even in a game - to mow down civilians for fun. Weird how morals/beliefs/principles really do stick wih you - if they're part of your core being then it's hard to bypass them - even in games or fantasy. Or maybe I'm just an extremist nutjob of some kind, and it isn't like this for everybody else...
Crimson946
Leave off the religious debate, will ya? This is mod-talk, not god-talk. It would be fun with a mod like a church somewhere in Skyrim, where you could pray at an altar and receive the Lord's blessing...or something. Would be fun if it had it's own community as well, so that us infidels could defile it if we wanted to; I guess that would satisfy the lot. It would be amusing if dialog were created so that you could preach to random strangers and try to convince them to come to church. I imagine some of the NPCs would get quite angry or violent and reject the player's message, kind of like how some people get annoyed at the priest of Talos who is always preaching in Whiterun. bben46
This topic actually went for a while without getting side tracked into discussing religion instead of mods. But now it is off topic and I will close it before it gets anyone in trouble.Bben46
