Craigsters
I'm having jerky movement with walking and running, my character pauses for a second like he's stuck or something and he glides on one foot and the other is bent a bit, I thought there was a mod that restored walking running to the fallout 3 style animation? I have the logitech xbox wireless game controller and changed the batteries last night, might buy a chorded real xbox controller for windows eventually when I have the money!.. I also removed all clothing mods from my data folder and well use the games elite riot gear instead!.. thx 8) Craig update I ended up going to best buy today to buy a Xbox 360 controller for Windows, the USB one and it worked like a charm, no more jerky movement while walking and running!.. I had bought the logitech [xbox wanna be] wireless gamepad f710 less then two months ago and it Sucked, all logitech controllers suck!.. Owe on the Xbox 360 controller for Windows the right joystick didn't move the game camera around as much as the logitech one did!.. ripple
I use a cheap Logitech Dual Action Controller for FO3 and FNV (I agree they are rather lacking in their durability), but if I saw this post before you went out and bought an XBox controller, I would have asked if you were relying on the default gamepad support or using a console controller emulator like x360ce. I have no issues with my gamepad + x360ce (aforementioned durability issue with Logitech controllers notwithstanding).
Craigsters
I also have the logitech PS3 controller for windows, but it's uncomfortable to hold and you have to find profiles for it or map the controller yourself, not all games recognize it!.. ripple
I also have the logitech PS3 controller for windows, but it's uncomfortable to hold and you have to find profiles for it or map the controller yourself, not all games recognize it!.. It's funny that while many of the popular games on PC these days are simultaneously released or ported from console platforms, most of them strangely continue to lack decent gamepad support. I don't have Mass Effect 3 or Skyrim yet, but games like FNV, FO3, ME 1 and 2 definitely fall into that category. This won't be of much use to you anymore since you have an x360 controller now (although you can probably still return it if you felt inclined to do so), but for those who don't: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/ This x360 controller emulator alleviates the need to use other third party key mappers like xpadder, and gives you x360 controller functionalities in FNV even when using PC compatible gamepads (It should work for your PS3 controller for PC too). I've used it since FO3, and through games like FNV and The Witcher 2. Edited May 1, 2012 by ripple
Craigsters
I bought pinnacle game profiler emulator years ago, because one of the games I used to play Mafia wouldn't work with joysticks Edited May 1, 2012 by Craigsters
