Nightmare0945
Alright so I've been getting back into modding Fallout 4 again for the past 2-3 weeks. I use a combination of Nexus Mod Manager and LOOT (Load Order Optimization Tool). Long story short roughly 6 of my mods are dependent on Armorsmith Extended. However everytime I try to download Armorsmith Extended through NMM it says"Error registering this mod: Armorsmith Extended - Armorsmith Extended v3.31 Error: Root element is missing." I do realize on top of Armorsmith Extended I need the all DLC patch as well as the incremental update from v3.31 to v3.32... Unfortunately the problem still standsI have uninstalled Armorsmith Extended and all its related patches and updates from NMM entirely and tried to reinstall it to no avail. I've tried downloading it manually and adding it to NMM that way and that doesn't work either. I'm lost and I have no idea where to turn I have looked this up elsewhere on the forums and from what I can tell no one has found a fix for this besides using older versions of Armorsmith Extended. Honestly coming to the forums is my last ditch effort to try to get some kind of answer to this problem before I just uninstall it from my game and do without it as painful as that is.Solution: So I found what the issue was and fixed Usually when someone has a mod that has the root element missing or just doesn't work the first thing one is to suggest it so completely uninstall and reinstall the mod that you are having the issues with. I noticed that when i would launch NMM that it would tell me that it had an error trying to load Armorsmith Extended. This was odd since I had just turned off and uninstalled Armorsmith Extended. I then realized that that means I downloaded Armorsmith Extended and it didn't install correctly the first time and NMM was continuously trying to load that particular instance of Armorsmith Extended. What I did not realize is uninstalling a mod through the application itself didn't actually delete the original instance of the mod that had its root element missing... Long story short after I dug into the mods folder and deleted Armorsmith that way and reinstalled it, it reinstalled perfectly fine with no error whatsoever. Hopefully what I have said is comprehensible and will help someone along the line that has this issue as well. Thanks Edited April 26, 2018 by Nightmare0945
ZeroAndOne
Try slowing down. Be accurate & systematic. Focus on providing small amounts of quality that spread across the game. Tweek the game config to increase the detail if you need more. Good Luck.
Nightmare0945
Small update on this whole Armorsmith Extended issue. I am indeed still having issues even after uninstalling and reinstalling. It's to the point now that I have just removed everything reliable on Armorsmith Extended from my mods. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling countless times to no avail. As I type this out I am currently disabling every mod, updating all mods that have new updates, and reinstalling every must have mod one by one because my load order is up to 250+ active mods deep (I am aware how utterly ridiculous that amount of mods is) and I'd say it's about time to start from scratch once again. to anyone that has this issue my only advice to resolve this issue is to uninstall and reinstall Armorsmith and if that doesn't work good luck to ya. Hopefully once I uninstall all my mods and run a clean instance of Fallout I might be able to resolve some of these issues I've been experiencing (I have a new issue to where I CTD every other time I save which is not uncommon when you have a ton of mods)To those experiencing this problem or something similar I wish you luck Edited May 1, 2018 by Nightmare0945
