Jannifer
I've been puzzling over this for some time. If you craft masterwork armor that heals you, say, 20% over 10 seconds, what does that mean? Does it mean that it heals you 20% every 10 seconds? Or does it mean that it mitigates 20% of the damage you take once every 10 seconds? Or, does it mean something else entirely? I haven't been able to find an explanation, even on the DA wiki.
Thandal
I always understood it to mean that it healed 20% of possible Health over the time specified. If a character had a possible 100 pts, then 20 would be gained at the END of the period (to ensure not hit for that long.)
nightscrawl
Ditto what Thandal said. The metal masterworks have "Heal n% of damage taken over 10 seconds." Paragon's Luster is 20%. You take 100 damage. The masterwork kicks in to heal 20 of that damage. Since it's over 10 seconds, I'll assume that the heal ticks every couple of seconds or so. In this case, you would heal 4 damage every 2 seconds: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20. I don't know what the actual time is without looking at the files, but that is how it would work. Thandal
Oh yeah, I forgot that some of those Masterworks result in x% healing over n secs, and others have a "If not hit" proviso. I always go with the "unrestricted" version myself.
