Hello. I know that it's a noobish question but, how can I change a custom NPC companion in-game name? I haven't ever made a mod, so I know i must use G.E.C.K. but, don't know how to just modify the name. Hope anyone can help me. Thank you in advance.

Back up the mods esp before you start. Start the Geck, from the top select File and then Data, put a check next to the FalloutNV.esm and uncheck any DLC unless the mod you want to alter requires it. Scroll down and check the mod that contains the NPC you wish to alter, check that and then hit Set as Active File, OK it and then let it load. With it loaded you'll see a box called Object Window, on the left side of that window you see a list of stuff, highlight NPC and then find the NPC in the list, you can also use to filter at the top to help find the NPC. When you've found him double click on him to open his properties, you'll see a name entry there, that's what you change, don't touch anything else unless you know what you're doing. Now save and exit.

Example for changing Cook Cook....
