atentora
As of today, I cannot play my main character. Every time I enter skyrim, or fast travel the game just crashes. I loaded a older save, same thing, went back even further, same thing. I load up an other character, no problems. The only change in mods was the addition of A Better Whiterun. So, I got rid of that, still instant CTDs. This is from saves before and after A Better Whiterun was installed, so I'm pretty sure that isn't to blame. So, two strangest things about this, no problems with other characters, just this one, and does not matter how far back I go still getting constant crashes. Anyone have any ideas? Georgiegril
I haven't tried a better Whiterun, but as II recall from reading the mod description, the author recommends making a backup of your game (not just a save) before downloading/installing that mod because of the issues that might arise. Did you do that? I am guessing you would need to reload that backup and start from there, or if you didn't do that, start a new game. You might also check the discussion for that mod and (if you haven't already) check to make sure you followed all of the mod authors recommendations for a successful uninstall. Good luck! Rennn
If you have Frostfall, that can cause crashes after fast traveling (though I think he fixed it if you get version 1.6a, btw). In order for anyone to help, you need to list all your mods. It's not necessary to remember every single texture mod, but mods for anything other than textures are needed in order for us to help. Good luck!I followed the uninstall instructions posted in the description. Also, it doesn't say anything about backing up the game (or even saves) right now, and I don't recall it having said so when I installed it."If you dont like the mod, simply uncheck 2 ESPs. They will not cause damage. IF you want to be sure and safe. Leave Whiterun, save, quit then uncheck 2 ESPs, load , save, then play."At this point I'm not sure if it is that mod or something else. Mostly because it is only messing with one character. I'll try re-installing the game. I'd like to not lose this save. And mod list. Sorry about that. (I did keep the 2 ESPs for A Better Whiterun, they are just cut from the image) The list is also sorted with BOSShttp://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l179/AtenTora/modlist.png Edited April 30, 2012 by atentora
