Having toruble with QMods

So I tried installing QMods, but...

1. Windows 10 gives me an error message saying that the requested changes couldn't be completed. I've looked for the code ( 0x800f0805 ) in the Microsoft website but I found nothing related to my problem.

2. The QMods folder doesn't appear in my Subnautica directory. I checked to see if it would be placed in the right directory.

3. The QMods setup (the .exe file) does appear on my computer just fine. I've tried running it in admin mode and normally, but the same problems happened.

4. Nexus says I have everything correctlly installed, even if I delete QMods.

5. I've tried restarting my computer, as well as uninstalling and repeating the process many times, but it's always the same.

6. Despite the fact that the installation process doesn't work, the setup tells me that it was finished with no issues.

My AV says absolutely nothing about QMods when I try to install it.

And one, final question: do I need QMods to use Subnautica mods, or can I just use them with the usual manual installation?

from windows If the updates fail to install to your computer, it could be related to corrupted Windows Update files, programs, or drivers. For us to isolate the problem in updating your laptop, kindly respond to the questions below:

  1. Can you tell us which updates are failing to install? To see, kindly go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > View your update history.
  2. Were there any software or hardware changes made to your computer before the issue occurred?
  3. Are there any third-party antivirus applications installed on your computer?

As a first troubleshooting step, we suggest that you download and run the Windows Update troubleshooter and let Windows find and resolve problems in updating your computer. After running the troubleshooter, attempt to update your computer and see if the issue persists.
