Oblivion Crash on The Anvil Docks.

So yeah, I got a crash in the Anvil Docks.

Im using big mods like Better cities, Unique Landscapes, Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul, Elsweyr Anequina (the one in the Assimilation Lab forums) and Waalx animals and Creatures, between other quest mods like Order of the Dragon, The Lost Spires and Integration The Stranded Light , also Cobl, but this crash was happening before I installed cobl.

I used Oblivion Reloaded with its Memory Management (which has been a godsend so far), OSR (with TcMallor and 760MB as heap replacement), and EngineBugFixes.
The OR Memory Management makes such as Enboost and MoreHeap redundant. At first I thought it was the game just not handling all the overload in the Anvil bay, since that games is quite FPS unfriendly, but for me I always found that weird cus I can handle the Imperial Waterfront without crash which is way more taxing than the Anvil bay.

So then I found the exact spot where oblivion crashes, and its the gate to the Anvil's Castle Courtyard, you know that gate you enter in right after the bridge to the Anvil castle?

Yeah its that spot, and the exact crash happens when I go from the castle's Courtyard to the anvil bay, It just loads a see like just one frame of the game then it freezes and crashes. And it always crashes there, no matter how much I played the game, after loading the world it always crashes when i go out from that door.

So There's probably something that causes the game to crash, maybe a bad mod or a conflict?.

About the bashed patch after MOO, thats just a bashed patch only done to darnify all the books, and MOO includes some books.

What do you use to set your load order?

 

Do you use MessageLogger to get info about your CTD?

I use Boss, then just do some reajustements for some few plugins that are unrecognised by boss, there are 2, a patch that fixes a terrain problem between elsweyr anequina and Integration near Rimmen, and the other one is a compatibility patch between Region Rumare, Unique Landscapes and the Expanded Imperial City isle that Better cities adds.

 

Going to try that MessageLogger to see if something is just not working right on the anvil docks.

 

Edit: well it seems its the area around the Anvil castle that causes the crashes, and its only when I go from an interior cell to there. say for example, if I go out of the castle's courtyard to the docks or from the city gate to the bridge towards the castle.

 

also the navmeshes seem to be broken, npcs getting stuck in objects or some guards swimming rather than using the bridge or roads. There's a sea elf too from Integration the stranded light, walking to a wall from a bridge (one of the bridges that lead to a guard tower just to the side of the anvil castle)

 

Still don't know what can cause the crash there, its the only place so far I can get a crash this fast in less than a minute, even in the laggiest place in the game, the waterfront, it doesnt crash. And most of my crashes are after 3 to more hours of gameplay, not seconds.

 

The MessageLog is created, however I dont know exactly which errors are to take seriously and which others not.

Except if I'm wrong rhe most relevant infos are those you get a the CTD time especially if the same one always comes back.

 

And no Messagelogger's infos aren't alays easy to understand.

 

You can always disable a bunch of mods, play and check if the problem remains.

Well I've been experimenting, so Far Integration, Knights of the Nine Revelations, Kagrenir's Death Quest, Order of the Dragon and Reclaiming sancre Tor aren't the mods conflicting.

Still the same on anvil, I've also noticed some enemies spawn inside the castle walls and and City walls, making them impossible to kill unless you use the TCL command or go to an interior cell.

Maybe the anvil docks are already buggy with just Better cities alone?
However, I think I found the culprit in this whole crashing mess, and I think, its the ship that you can buy.

Since well, this is the only place where I get a crash that isn't for playing too long, and Anvil is the only place on better cities that adds a ship that you can control.
I do wonder If i have a mod that can conflict with that ship.
