How to replace sounds in-game?

I know there is probably a tutorial for this somewhere but I haven't been able to find it. The male Dunmer pain noises drive me insane. They sound so much like the female Dunmer pain noises from Oblivion that I really want to change it but no such mod exists. How difficult would it be to create such a mod myself and could anyone point me towards a tutorial to do so?

It's not terribly hard but it's more time consuming because you have to listen to a lot of sound files to find the ones you want.

First you need to extract the files for the voice type you're replacing. I think the bsa tool that comes with the ck has this capability but I usually use mod manager's tool.

After you extract everything you need to un-fuz it to wav so you can find the correct files. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9797

Once you re-name the files you're replacing you can use the same tool to re-fuz the wav and lip if you're publishing this. (reduces file size)

Thanks, I'll give that a try. The other hard part is getting the sound files I want to use to replace the default ones with.
