Vagrant0
I believe the only way to accomplish that effect to appear on just the weapon would be to attach particle nodes to the weapon. There was a thread over at CI which asked the same basic question. It seemed like there was another way, but I hanv't seen it happen. I really didn't go into it very far myself, but only managed to apply blue fire to the character while the blade is equiped, not blue fire to just the blade. Most of the related links are no longer valid, so you will need to do some digging. http://canadianice.ufrealms.net/forum2/ind...hp?topic=5883.0 It's an old thread, so there might have been some things which may now work. LHammonds
Already done. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/8440-1190684730.jpg You basically copy/paste the particle/flame branch from the torch onto your sword model. Then you find the textures (noted in the NIF Texture path) and copy them to your own project folder.Update your NIF with the path to your DDS files. Then change the DDS files by re-coloring them. In the example above, I actually changed the 20 files by also reversing the order. I renamed fire20 to fire1, then fire19 to fire2, etc. to get a reversed flame as well as recoloring it to be blue. jaysus
yup thats the way :) you can even add more than one flamenode as nicoroshi did with his sabers... the placement might be difficult (a lil) though if you do it just by numbers in nifskope... saidenstorm though made blades which are fully particle animated and some which stil have a blade and just have particles flowing around em, more like lightsabers, dunno tho how he did it exactly thou... nice armor btw LH ;) but you should use my capes instead lol... they dont have this nasty front bit :P
kidwitthafro
ok so ive copied and pasted the flame from nico's however my weapon is shaped a little differently so the flame burns upwards in the wrong direction...how do i change the orientation of the flame? for example if the default direction for the flame to burn as is on the presented weapons is left...how would i make it burn forward instead? heres an example of the problem if that was too confusing: also how do i move the flame around the mesh in general? for example if i want it to burn from the center? jaysus
under nifskope - block details - you can adjust stuff like translation, rotation, etc which should move it... as to the orientation dunno... moving them in a 3d editor might be easier tho
VileTouch
yeah that's great, when i first saw it was in the sword of the walking dead (or something like that) from mmm's, and since then i always wanted to have that effect for all enchanted weapons, much what does the visually enchanted weapons, but with that realistic fire (is that possible?)
