Dschaiterer
I'm a game art student and would like to join a modding team or another person. I have tried by myself but am struggling with the importing of new models and am hoping for someone to show me the ropes. vvvv link to my portfoliohttp://dschaiterer.daportfolio.com/
DiGiTALZOMBiE
The best advice I had asking a similar question to yours was to create my own content packs for modders to use as a resource, that way your not tied down to something that may never see the light of day and you get to pick and choose what you want to do. Great idea but as a student I guess your after some pipeline/team experience also so I would advise you to go through all the organised mods yourself and contact people directly. See what takes your fancy, ask a bunch of questions then decide ;]
Dschaiterer
That's a good idea what type of items did you put in your package?
ghosu
I guess weapons would be a good choice, easy to import even for beginners and could catch most attention...there is a big demand for manga stuff as always...even if you don't like that style, there are some good looking weapons around. But on the other hand...you can do that yourself as well, not really complicated. Edited May 2, 2012 by ghosu
DiGiTALZOMBiE
That's a good idea what type of items did you put in your package? I did a lot of lurking on both the Nexus and Berth forums and asked a lot of questions, check out the mod request section and see what the general vibe is. What year are you on? have you specialized in environments or characters yet? My biggest piece of advice is to first and foremost consider your portfolio and the kind of jobs you intend to apply for after graduation. Once your sure of your direction then decide what Skyrim assets are best for you to concentrate your creative efforts on. Good luck with the 3D work and if your ever after any advice or crit drop me a PM :)
