Mebantiza
Is anyone used, using the Compressonator utility to compress textures for there SSE mods? I have compressed a few Normals I made, and it does, appear to work, but GIMP or Paint wont open them so I cant verify GIMP is ok with the output. The windows thumbnail looks a little odd, so I am not really sure what if what it has done is actually useable or not. I am thinking of just leaving the current numerals uncompressed as I know they work, and work very well. But the idea of saving 75% of the current space is appealing of course. TheWilloughbian
There's a plugin for Paint.net to open BC7 textures. You have to rename the extension to .DDS2 for it to work. But, no GiMP won't open BC7. The game will run BC7 textures fine though. Just don't use Xnconvet if you ever want to open those textures in an editor again. Deleted3897072User
You can also use NifSkope to display the mesh that the texture is painted on. The latest version (2.0 dev 7) displays BC7.

I haven't used the new version too much yet. I'm just so used to 2.0.0 Now I'm going to have to check it out.
