xBonderx
So finally went to nexus to get a mod instead of just Workshop - figured the NMM would be the best bet. installation was simple and self-explanatory enough. it has a "Launch Skyrim" button - DO I HAVE TO USE THIS TO USE NEXUS MODS CORRECTLY? (sorry for caps but thats the question) do i have to keep the NMM running while playing the game? or is it just an installer? its not in the guideits not in the beta wikiits not in the 34 minute tutorial vid heeellllp plsand thanks
keegars
No, you don't need to use the launch skyrim button from there, you can just run it normally and it will detect the mods youve currently activated in NMM. And NMM can be closed whilst playing the game, it's mainly just an mod manager/installer to make things more automated and easier for things to be removed or added etc.

Edit- nevermind, i figured it out, but for some reason it asked itself to overwrite all its own files... hope i didnt ruin it. oh well time to try. stabbykitteh
The answer is no to both questions. You don't have to launch Skyrim with NMM or run it while playing. Good luck and enjoy. (ninja'd but you get the idea)

keegars
You won't need to worry about if it asks to overwrite files, they won't be lost, it just overwrites it for now. You just simply uninstall the mod that overwrite the files orginally (by double-clicking it or pressing the button on the side whilst its highlighted) and it'll forgot that mod was installed and just use the other files :) its quite brilliant I think :D
Georgiegril
Well, unless you are using skyUI or another mod that requires skse. Unless that has changed lately.
