Installing Second Language

I will be buying a second copy of Fallout 4 from Steam so I can have it in a language other than English. Both versions will be on the same computer. It has been awhile since I did the current installation so I'm wondering on the best way to make the new one a smooth copy. Will Steam just automatically default to installing it under the normal top FO4 folder name or do I get a choice before the installation? If that, should I rename the current folder so it can do that? Any hints on the best way to do this would be appreciated.

TIA

This is going to get a little complicated, but bear with me.

1. You will need a second user profile set up on your machine (When you log into Windows you'll have 2 user profiles to work from, when you want the other language, pick #2).

2. That user profile will need to use that second language by default (set that in your Windows settings, Steam will pick the language from there, or should. That may affect your current Fallout 4 install, as I don't know if the language is just an option setting in Fallout 4, or there is a specific version Steam will use based on the default language, worth checking out).

3. If you have a second hard drive, great, as you can set up another repository for Steam games there and those can be installed by Steam with the other language. A second Steam account is a good idea here too, as that will further avoid issues. If you don't have a second hard drive, but have room on the first, another folder where Steam can put the games will work, too.

4. If you're using NMM, it will need an entry forthe other language Fallout 4 though I don't know how NMM handles things directly. If it uses one database foer all entries regardless of user, than that second entry is key. If however, it stores by user profile, then as long as that one has the links set for the 2nd language section, you should be good.

I think that about does it. If you're wondering how to set that second repository, the Internet has that info and I had no trouble setting that up. As for the second user account Windows handles that, though you will need admon rights to set up that new user (it can still be a limited account, if the various programs you use have no issues with that. If they do, the run as administrator options on the shortcut settings will fix that).
