raiden71
Hi everyone! I have a little problem with the GECk, I recently been working on my own merged patch to modify caracteristics of several firearmscoming from differnt mods to make my game more immersive. As an example, I have three models of desert eagle : one from PN, one from CFW and one from reload. For my personnal use, I have been merging the repair lists, the models, textures etc in order to have guns entirely identical to one another. It has worked great so far, nevertheless there is ONE thing I can't change, it is the mods of the guns (with WMX). In game, I have a 357 magnum custom action mod that I want to apply to my gun, but I can't. I go check it out in the GECK and here I see that the mod exists, the models and textures for the modded gun exists, the efect of the mod on the gun exists but no mod is associated : I mean that the line left to "effect of the mod" and "value" is filled with NONE.So I've changed it, select the mod from WMX, saved the file and close it. But when I re-open it, It says "NONE" again, as if I had never changed this line!! ANd th most boring is that the GECK will save ALL others changes I can Made but NOT the ones I make ti this "mod" line. Does anyone knows what I have to do? It's driving me crazy :( Thanks for reading it, later ;)
chucksteel
I don't have WMX but, if the mod is an .esp this would explain why your changes don't stay in your new patch mod. esp's can not be used as a master to another .esp so, you'll need to ether covert WMX to an .esm or, recreated the mods in your new plugin by duplicating the forms and, changing there names. Your probably better off just converting WMX to an .esm by toggling it to a master with FNVedit. and, changing the file extension to .esm. \ Hope that helps chuck

chucksteel
hi again! I've just tried what you advised me to do and it worked! Thank you very much! I can now get back to this modding! thanks again! :) Glad I could help! http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/biggrin.gif Edit: If your using RFCW (A Requiem for the capital waste) I have a functional version of it out for use with it but, I'm working on a full update that will remove some of the redundant forms for items in different districts, reworking the lighting and, much more. I can't release it until the new version of RFCW is released because, I have the Prototype version. Edited May 3, 2012 by chucksteel
