Systex
Are you sure you tried the sound fix? 24 bits 44100 Hz. It could also be that your save game is corrupted. You can restore a previous version if you want. Documents > My Games > Skyrim - then right click on the saves folder, go to properties and restore a previous version. Georgiegril
Yes, it sounds like you are not completely uninstalling. If your problem is with a corrupted save, you can try what Systex suggests and see if a previous save works. Except it looks like you say you deleted your saves? Also his sound fix, did you try that? Just to check on the uninstall, did you do all of the following?1. Uninstall all mods from NMM2. Delete Local Content through Steam.3. Uninstall the program using something like Glary Utilities or IOBit uninstaller, that checks for registry files etc.4. Go to steamapps/common and C; games and users/documents/gamesand Delete any skyrim folders. The first two are your apps from Steam and NMM. That last one is where your savegames are, which it seems were not deleted.Reinstall. You could try reinstalling to a different folder.Just to check, too...you meet the requirements for RAM and hard drive size, etc?And you have a folder for saves that the program is pointed to? Raptor149
Okay, it seems to me like all my saves are currupted, I tried going back to an earlier save, but that's had it's goose! What now?
Systex
Well, there's always a worst case scenario, completely remove the entire game, delete local content, delete all saves, delete all mods. Go for a complete re-install, and start a vanilla game with no mods installed.Of course this is your last resort, it happened to me as well, I had a level 51 Redguard and my saves got corrupted for some reason and needed to start all over again. I know it sucks, but if there's no other option available for you to fix this, you gotta do it. And have you read Georgiegirl's post and done what she said, she seems pretty confident what she's talking about and I believe it just might work ^^ Edited May 6, 2012 by Systex
Xotana
If you have a quad core, try playing with only 2 cores enabled. It makes my saves load and play for hours crash free, until ofc, the random CTD happens, Hail Skyrim, mother of all crashes!!!! This is how I do it: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "TESV.exe" /affinity 5 "C:\Program Files... Add this to the game path target, if it givers an error, try the " key, sometimes it changes in copy paste. Edited May 7, 2012 by Xotana
