Grecia300
As the title says, my issue with Skyrim at the moment is that the game opens the window and almost immediately afterwards, the game's render-er fails with an unknown error. This issue started after I did a Windows 10 update. I use Mod Organizer to mod Skyrim and I have tried to start the game from the launcher as well as from Steam itself and from within Mod Organizer with no luck. I know for certain that this is not an issue with my load order or the mods themselves, because of the setup working prior to the update. Here are my system spec's if necessary : - Windows 10 64-bit operating system (version 1803) - Intel Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00 GHz - 16 GB of RAM - OS Build 17134.48 Is there any other information that you guys need? In case you guys haven't already guessed, I need to know whats causing this, and how to fix it. If there is anything else, just let me know. diamondhead
I am having the exact same issue, began right after Windows 10 update
Grecia300
Should we just go back to the old version that we updated from? Or just reinstall both Skyrim and Mod Organizer? (I assume you use MO as well)
diamondhead
No, im using NMM
Grecia300
Then why the hell did you even comment on my thread? If you aren't going to be of use, then dont post anything! It only annoys the person who posted the request for help and wastes both of our time.
diamondhead
Because the issue is not usually with what organizer youre using. I found a solution to the problem that has nothing to do with MO or NMM. By all means go find it for yourself
Grecia300
If you found a solution, then how come you said you were having the same problem? And wouldn't it have been better to have told me the solution right from the get-go? All irritation aside, I really am curious. It's also quite obvious, I was too terse with you. I have a lot going on atm, in the wake of this catastrophic windows 10 update, and I've been much more irritable since. That said, forgive my harsh tone, it wasn't too personal. diamondhead
When I discovered the problem I came here first and saw your post and hoped a solution would be posted. I then proceeded to go on a search mission for answers . If you search “Skyrim renderer” ypoll find several different things to try. It took me several attempts but one worked for me. Hopefully you will find one that works for you
Grecia300
Ah, that explains a bit. I had that feeling, but didn't want to seem presumptuous. Thanks for the info.

I can launch the game in windowed mode, but not fullscreen.
