Rune
I haven't tampered too much with TESCS in all of my time playing Morrowind, nor have I downloaded mods until recently (the game was getting ugly and boring). Here's my problem, I need to know how to change the .esm master files. A few of the mods I've downloaded are not the standard .esp files but instead are labeled as masterfiles. This wouldn't be a problem, if the .esm files were up-to-date with my version. They're not, and it causes an error message to be displayed every time I run the game (and I'm thinking it is the culprit of quite a few in-game CTD's). With the .esp files all I would have to do is open them up, and the MW/TB/BM masterfile(s) and save. How would I go about doing this with .esm? If this has been covered before please post the link, I haven't been here in a while.

orochi_dp
You need this program, TESDTK.It can be found Here.It can change those .esm files to .espIt can also change the versions, too.You need the Java RunTime Environment, too.The JRE can be found here.Make sure you get the JRE and not the SDK... Rune
Thanks for the help. ;) altho i dont ever recall an esm giving an error message about not haveing the correct master...Apparently it's looking for the older version (you know, displayed in "ALL CAPS") of Tribunal (and one with Bloodmoon also). Since I updated with the patch it can't find the exact older version so it displays an error message.
Don88
That error message is completely harmless! I get too. Even though they're not getting the proper versions of master files they are getting what they need to run fine. Don't worry! Be happy!
