Alternate start versions...

I've started over so many times, it's almost automatic for the first 5-10 levels...same people, same quests. I've seen a few of the "alternate starts" mods and was wondering which ones are the best? I could see how it would be difficult just starting out with rags and no money...how would you get weapons to kill bandits to sell to upgrade armor and weapons...and so on. I guess you could spend a few hours trying your hand at pickpocketing but you'd have to "cheat" to sell the goods to buy stuff you actually need. I like the idea of starting with literally nothing but the rags on my back and becoming "Champion of Skyrim", but can't get around the problem of acquiring basic armors and weapons to get the ball rolling.

This alt start mod is great:

The Oblivion version was very popular, as is the Skyrim version. It lets you pick a new beginning when you start the game. You can choose from several options in-game, from the owner of a house in a city, to a Necromancer in Blackreach, and you can pick a different beginning each time you start a new game. I think of it kind of like Dragon Age's origin stories.
