animeguy1246
Just as the title says. I've been having issues with skyrim crashing constantly. I've tried uninstalling mods I thought might be the issue and it hasn't worked. My skyrim on my laptop, and other desktop are modded even heavier than this one, and I would really appreciate the help. I can play the game for a little bit but then it'll crash at certain points. Here's the papyrus crash log:https://pastebin.com/CQRiX8Qt
TheGreatFalro
The Papyrus log is NOT a crash log, despite popular belief, and is completely useless in all but the rarest cases. It rarely, if ever, captures anything at the actual time of the crash, as the game doesn't have time write to the log by the time it goes poof. The only reason to enable the Papyrus log is to debug a specific mod's scripts, and even then it's really only useful to mod authors. What's much more helpful in determining the cause of a crash is detailed information about it and your setup. A few example questions to answer:-What are your computer's specs (e.g. CPU, RAM, GPU, etc.)?-What Operating System do you have? If Windows 10, what version/build number?-Where does the crash occur? Is it random, or at a specific place/time/action?-Can it be reproduced easily? If so, what are the steps to reproduce it?-What mods do you have? You can use LOOT's copy load order function or a service like modwat.ch.-How are you installing your mods? Are you using a mod manager (e.g. NMM, MO)?And most importantly, what have you done to try and fix the problem? Be as detailed as possible. More information can only help figure out what's wrong. animeguy1246
Oh, I had no idea. Well, here's the load order:https://pastebin.com/eEQsNbae It seems to crash randomly on the overworld exclusively. I don't think it has anything to do with my computer specs. I use NMM to install my mods and I use LOOT to put my modlist in order. I also randomly hear swimming noises but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything. The game seems to crash the most in the Riverwood valley, whiterun hold, and the Falkreath hold. My computer has 24 gb of ram.
TheGreatFalro
A few things I see:-Your masters are out of order. They should be Dawnguard, then Hearthfire, then Dragonborn. Make sure you're actually clicking the sort button in LOOT and then Apply, not just opening the program.-You're using both Climates of Tamriel and Vivid Weathers. These are not compatible, as they do the same thing. This could definitely cause crashing. You should also make an SKSE.ini as detailed here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/72850/discussions/0/540740500921363665/ As for the swimming noises, cap your FPS to 60. In their infinite wisdom, Bethesda tied the physics engine to framerate. This means that it goes crazy over 60FPS.
animeguy1246
I've fixed everything for the most part, thanks to you. Thank you, but one last question, how do I cap my FPS at 60?
TheGreatFalro
If your monitor is 60Hz (it should be unless you specifically bought one that isn't) just turn on VSync from your graphics card's control panel (or ENB if you have one). Otherwise you can use this mod:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34/?tab=files Glad to hear everything is working!
