Fallout New Vegas Merged Mods

Hi, currently, I am unable to play because I have reached the maximum limit of active plugins currently I have 153 active plugins, now I would like to reduce the plugins to about 120-125 which plugins do you recommend to merge?

There is also the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article.

 

The latest ESM of CaliberX (v4.017) doesn't need the DLC version ESMs, so those are two you can get rid of.

 

You have both WMX and WME. They both tend to need a number of compatibility patches to work with other mods. Might choose between them.

 

The WMX-DLCMerged could be merged together with WMX itself, but then you would need to adjust the 'master file' of other plugins that depend upon that plugin as a 'master' to use your "new" merged WMX instead. It can be done; described the process in that wiki article. Only works for "optional" files of the main plugin though. Don't attempt it with "compatibility patches" as they need both master files present to draw upon their assets and records.

 

Plugins that don't depend upon other mods, or only inject new or change existing records into the vanilla game and DLCs are good candidates.

 

Remember that even merging 2-3 plugins into one gains you a slot or two. Sometimes that's all you can do because of the "contiguously adjacent" rule.

Oops. Blame my aging memory. The article covering how to merge WMX-DLCMerged together with WMX, and then change the 'master file' in other plugins from WMX-DLCMerged to use the merged "WMX instead is "Multiple file Merge-Up Procedure". It's a more advanced and detailed procedure than what is outlined in the first article.
