Ithiliriana
Hello, There's an issue with my Skyrim that I've been having for a while now. As far as I know, it seems to happen at random and the only way that I've found of getting rid of it is by doing a clean installation of Skyrim. No mods, no subscriptions and no premade folders. The problem I'm having is that when I enter a dungeon (seems random too. Could be the deep caverns with Potema's quest, Korvanjund or even a cellar somewhere so to speak) the area only seems to load a few doors and distant details ; Nothing else. For example : http://steamcommunity.com/id/Ithiliriana/screenshot/559814960828675683 and http://steamcommunity.com/id/Ithiliriana/screenshot/559814960828674355 . Now, to be honest, I'm getting rather tired of having to do a clean Skyrim installation whenever this occurs. Because this means I constantly have to start new characters, do everything over again and wait for the bug to happen. I've run a game defrag, verified the game cash and disabled the mods I downloaded between the time where the game worked fine and when it bugged up, but nothing seems to work. I don't want to do yet another new installation, so I hope somebody here has any idea what's causing it, and hopefully, how to fix it. Yours sincerely,Ithiliriana. Georgiegril
What mods are you running? It appears to me to be a mod conflict.Could you please list all that you have downloaded/installed and also any that you disabled/uninstalled before first noticing this problem? Ithiliriana
I probably should have done that sooner, seeing as how now even the mod manager refuses to work. Schabernack
Hi Ithiliriana, I already replied in the other thread you posted in, so I'm just writing here to be sure you get to read it. Your NMM-issue seems to be some weird bug, I've no idea about that one but re-installing NMM should most likely do the job. Now, as I said in the other thread, I think it's Dragon Falls Manor that causes the trouble otherwise perhaps also the Asteria which I do run too but without problems. Good luck, anyway! Xotana
Lawl, almost all the meshes are gone.....freaky looking issue! I had a similar issue on Blue Palace, when I entered it some floor and walls were missing....same as in a couple of dungeons. It was gone after entering in windowed mode. Skyrim is a CPU/VGA mistery. Ithiliriana
Thanks for the replies people! @Schabernack : Sorry, must've missed your reply. I've had both mods at one point, and both mods are now either deleted and/or deactivated. Do they have to be fully uninstalled in order for them to not go crazy on my game, or will a simple deactivation click work? @Xotana : Bethesda games are spooky when it comes to bugs and glitches. I was hopefull when they said Skyrim was going to have a new engine. Then I sadfaced. "Overhauled Oblivion engine". Edit : I've been a derp. Forgot I uninstalled Skyrim last night -_-'. Oh well, I'll be back in a few weeks I guess xD
Ithiliriana
Okay, so I reinstalled Skyrim with the following mods. Now at the very beginning of the game when you're supposed to go into Helgen ; the models on the trees are inredibly low quality and Helgen is simply not there. Modconflict or something? Incidently, BOSS tells me it cannot detect my game. This is strange because I can literally look at it. The mods I'm using are : http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb305/Dlunar/2-3.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb305/Dlunar/1-5.jpg These are all subscriptions from the workshop which worked before. Any ideas?
Schabernack
Hi again, as for your first question, a simple deactivation should be enough. Regarding your new problem: I haven't had that before so I can only guess that it might be a conflict in your load order as BOSS doesn't work for you at the moment, isn't it? Try running the BOSS GUI.exe which should allow you to choose the file path to your main Skyrim-directory. Apart from that, I recall I had to install some compatibility patch when using both lush grass and lush trees, since you have a problem with foliage this might be the source of your problem, but again, just a guess. Perhaps you should take a look at other threads dealing with similar issues.
D339F2057
hi I've had the same problem in the thieves guild cistern a few times, once in the black tower from http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5696 and in a few other placesno problems with nmm though and had the problem before the asteria got out and never used dragon falls manor so I don't think they're related to this problem ...usually after exiting skyrim and reloading a few times it works again for me. Xotana
Funny as hell, I remember playing Oblivion without a single crash!!! What about that! Nevetheless, so you know, I started playing the Skyrim with all cores from my quad core i7 920 enabled. Now I can only run the game with 2 cores!!! Not that the others don't work. All other games I have work perfectly with all cores enabled. BF3, Batman, Assassin's etc FREAKYYYYY!!!!!
