Enma38
It keeps giving me this error when I install a mod after I just opened NMM. "Your Fallout4Custom.ini is not configured correctly. Nexus Mod Manager was unable to make the necessary changes automatically. Please refer to the documentation located at https://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation#How_To_Enable_Fallout_4_Mods" I know I've edited the ini's properly. So what am I doing wrong exactly? Edited May 29, 2018 by Enma38
BourneMcReady
I am not sure what that error is, but you do not need to edit your inis at all to get any mod to work unless those mods specifically ask you to do so on heir mod pages. Loose files work out of the box, as do mods that have archived files. For awhile you had to use ini tweaks to get loose files to work, and I think the mod manager just has outdated information. If the mod manager allows you to continue on as normal after that warning, I think it's safe to ignore it. Edited May 29, 2018 by bretton

merlinconners
I have exactly the same issue. I have ignored it but some of the mods are not working so something is going wrong under the covers.

GuardianV25
I see this is an unresolved issue that I too am running into for some reason, it's quite annoying honestly.....
devildog0880
Try running the Nexus Mod Manager with Administrator rights and then install the mods, might work. Edited August 26, 2018 by devildog0880
DarylLicht
Is this with NMM 65.2? I had this as well as some other issues. I dumped that version and went back to 63.14 and all has been well.
