Porting Mods with Credit to Authors

I'm thinking about porting mods from Skyrim to Skyrim Special Edition, and I was wondering if this is lawful according to the rules. I make sure to put [Author's name] in the Created By box.

that depends on the mod in question

you need to check the permissions of each mod , to make sure you are allowed to port it

if you aren't sure , contact the author of the original mod and ask for permission

if you don't think you have permission , best not to release that ported mod (you can port it for personal use , just don't upload it)
