Peregrine
A set of items that works in the same way as Wraithguard and Sunder and Keening whose bonuses you only receive if you have both or all three of the items. (like a pair of gloves to use a really good bow or something like that or a pauldron/gauntlet combination to use with a shield). You get the idea. Then you could make quests that allow you to retrieve them, or if you don't want to script the quests then you could just write a book like artifacts of Tamriel where it decribes what the item sets are.Been playing a bit too much diablo2 again? Guardian Pike (must be a custom long spear model, not the pathetic "spears" in Morrowind) CE sanctuary/fortify spear. Long pointy stick = enemies can't get close to hit as well. Shadow's Wrath (bow): CE fortify marksman/chameleon/fortify speed/moderate blind on self. The ultimate stealthy sniper's weapon, but its shadows hurt you as well. Stormwind (bow): CE sound/lightning damage surrounding you, script to add infinite lightning arrows Berserker's Fury (claymore): High damage, constant effect fortify long blade, fortify strength, and either drain health or script to set health much lower (1/4 of total perhaps?) thanateros
No I haven't been playing Diablo II since the people I play with on LAN complain that my necro sucks away all the experience. Ok back on topic....CE lightning damage?!?!?! I assume you mean in a radius, right? Never tried that but if it works like I think it does I'll deffinitely want to see that in this mod. Stormspire (shield)CE lightning shield Shadoweave (Robe)CE Chameleon/Fortify Speed Drain Fatigue/Magika Syphon Soul (dagger)Paralyze/Trap Soul/ Silence/ Absorb Health on strikeDrain magika/fatigue/damage armor 500(not all great weapons are completely beneficial. Peregrine
No I haven't been playing Diablo II since the people I play with on LAN complain that my necro sucks away all the experience. Just that the idea of item sets sounded a bit familiar... Ok back on topic....CE lightning damage?!?!?! I assume you mean in a radius, right? Never tried that but if it works like I think it does I'll deffinitely want to see that in this mod. I mean exactly that. You carry a storm around, centered on you, when you use the bow. Not much constant effect lightning/sound damage, but enough to get the effect.
thanateros
So are you saying that you've enchanted an item to produce this effect?
Peregrine
Nah, just that I like the idea... besides, if all the MEMod changes are possible, it seems like it would be a minor thing....
thanateros
I don't think I understand when you say MEMod changes. Anyway, I might just try to make something like that...In theory it seems like it would work and I just found a Daedric Small Shield that I'd like to test some new encantments on. Unless you know for a fact that a radius constant effect spell like that wouldn't work. And if it doesn't (points to said mod) you should make it in the enchantment shop. Sorry to pseudo thread hijack, I hope this is giving you some good ideas for items though. Now if you could make an item that would change the weather...well then that would just be really impressive, especially considering you could make an ashstorm in Solthseim ^_^
Peregrine
Should be possible to do... just copy the tribunal script, change it to apply to all cells (to be sure you get the one you're in at the time), and make it trigger on equipping/unequipping the item instead of the dwemer machine. Wraith's Talon (Dagger) CE 80% Chameleon, Blind 10%, Drain Health/Fatigue Invisibility, but at a price to your soul... Oblivion's Gift (any) CE Storm Atronach and Bound Curiass Ocean's Embrace (short sword) CE Water Breathing/Swift Swim
wesaynothin
Now if you could make an item that would change the weather...well then that would just be really impressive, especially considering you could make an ashstorm in Solthseim Actually, I remember a mod that did this. I forge tthe name of it, but I do remember what the effect the iotems had. If you dropped the given item on you, (Say the coin of sun) it would change the weather to that effect. Like during a rainstorm, I dropped the coin on myself, and soon the sun was there. Might be a bit difficult, but it can be done.
Fulgor Lightbearer
Please rebuild my Sword... called: "Enlighter" It's for my Paladin character. It's a powerfull 2 handed long sword, (not just an ordinary silver sword looking sword) abillities: - Healing effects on self - It shines light, so you don't have to use candels, or torches in dark places. (maybe it could also enlight creatures when being hit) think about it.. greetzz
MDH Weaponeer
Nice ideas, people... How do you carry a storm around with you?... I've tried all these things before, and it only works on you, not anyone around you... No matter how much radius you put on. I have all the Expansions... But do I need to patch my game? I made this cool sword that has everyone within 36 feet surrounded by shields (which are all at 0 points - more for visual effect), are paralized and having their health damaged, all effects for 5 seconds. It gives the impression that everyone is suddenly frozen in little death orbs. It looks pretty cool. EDIT: I like the idea of a book that gives you info about legendary weapons to look for. I have a book that you can find in the weapons shop. All the info inside actually fits the book, it's not a big fat beefy book that only has three pages when you open it. This is what I have: <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"><FONT COLOR="000000" SIZE="3" FACE="Magic Cards"><BR>LEGENDARY ARTIFACTS OF VVANDERFELL<BR><BR>By Brenord Cillinian <BR><BR>The many wishes of a simple person, like you or me, can go out of reach quite easily. Our imaginations flee to new places, that in reality we can not. Some of us wish for instant friends or love, to walk into a shop and get the whole store for free, or even become gods to be worshipped and if death to come, will forever be remembered. It doesn't seem exactly the most likely to most of us - but with minds most powerful, it can be. The tradition of my very own family, the Cillinians, is Spirit, Mind and Soul. Their power is our power. With these three keys of the spiritual body, we can cast the hardest spells quite easily. And we also have the power to enchant. Either with a mind, or with a soul. The possiblities are endless. Though many have this ability, few are able to succesfully enchant items to enhance life or power in great new ways. However, those who can usually become legends among the many pieces of what is simply known to all as history. Sadly enough, the great treasures that these people have created get lost, where history cannot find them. Only vague ideas of their whereabouts exist. The following tales consist of idealistic considerations on where these precious items are, and how we might be able to find them.<BR><BR>It was a slightly misty morning in the south grazelands. Callcus Farmius was walking calmly along a path, and was getting steady progression to Balmora. He was carefully studying a sign in order to get there, when he was jerked out of his slight stupor by an incredibly loud roar from the top of a mountain. It seemed that an orc - about 150 feet up - was in pain. Of course, Callcus being an alchemist, rushed up the hill with a healing potion, ready for whatever it was suffering from. He was steadily approaching the orc when it looked up... It was large, male, and was wearing a netch top, which was glowing brightly and had little stars which were surrounding the orc's head. "Mellas Hat of Victorious Light?", Callcus whispered to himself... But it seemed the orc had heard him, as he looked up with a freakishly large smile and quietly said back "you don't want it. It hurts...". "I must have it - everyone's been looking for that thing for ages", Callcus replied in a slightly shaky voice. "Come get it, desperate fool!" the Orc suddenly screamed back, before throwing a fireball at the man and running away at a speed what seemed almost pointless to chase, and a jump that indicated pursuit was impossible by all means. Since then, Callcus has been studying the item, and all tactics of its return. "Probably the best way is to use an incredibly high power levitation spell - and an axe that'll be sure to take the orc out in one hit. As far as I know, the helm makes your chance of living through a regular axe about 10 times more than usual". Recorded facts say that Mella was a female High Elf enchanter from the Mage's guild who mysteriously died about 80 years ago when the helm got knocked off her head. Research evedently concludes that it might have been done deliberately so that the helm could be taken.<BR><BR> That's about it. It took me five minutes to do.
