tomomi1922
Who is torn between Skyrim vs FO4? I know they are 2 different kinds of game. Both RPG, but one is about swords and magic, other, big guns and bullets. I can't handle modding 2 games at once so I have to choose one. But when I played FO4 I always thought about Skyrim, and now playing Skyrim thinking about FO4. The grass is always greener on the other side. One thing for sure, modding community and mod availabilities seem so much more advanced than FO4, even with the "upgrade" to Skyrim SE, it's a matter of short time mods getting ported over. Complex things like Racemenu may take a while longer. But who feels FO4 main story is a lot shorter than Skyrim? And the world much smaller? Even without Solsthem, Skyrim feels like a huge stomping ground. While Boston feels like a small town in Colorado. Here is the kicker, if anyone ever played Division, that game much more accurately depicts a city (New York in this case). The vast streets, the atmosphere, the building line up, the intersections... Boston in FO4 feels claustrophobic in comparison. Skyrim does have tiny towns, but the landscape and the distance to travel makes up for the immersion of a "vast open world". I still miss shooting people sometimes. Unlike a lot of people, I feel VATS is really fun. There is nothing like getting ambushed in closed quarter and VATS-fu everyone to death. This is probably what those cowboys in Western movies feel like: wipe everyone out before they even get to draw their guns.
