Rapid leveling bug

[HobosinSpace]

So I was playing through on a new character and decided to start leveling my smithing. However, from level 22, the second dagger brought my level int to the thirties. And it kept rising drastically.

Has anyone had this problem at all?

It may be a mod, I'll put my load order up soon, but I'm genuinely stumped with this.

Hi! The arrowmaking mod was doing it for me - I removed it and the rapid-lvling stopped.

Checking out some mods now to see if it's them, but nothing so far.

Sorry about the bad info - it was actually 'Dwemer Certified' mod that was conflicting with another mod that was doing it to my game - probably messing with anoither mod that affects the blacksmith skill...

Maybe its smithing perks overhaul.

This is a bug that was included with one of the earlier Steam updates. It seems to be fixed now so just have Steam update your game.

Well, I tried updating as well as re-installing, and the problem persisted, so I figure it's gotta be mod. Speaking of which, I also checked out the smithing perks overhaul, and that didn't fix it either.

 

Thanks all for the input, as it seems to be a mod something, I'll just go through and check them all to see if it fixes anything.

I'm having the same problem and have a lot of the same mods. I hope it isn't Dwemer Certified, because I love that mod. I guess it's time to find out. Did you ever pin down if that mod was the sole problem?
