JarlBrogruf
I just thought I'd say that with all the spell packs out there, there is not a single one that I would even consider downloading. Why? Because I do not want 100-400 new spells. I want one MAYBE two new spells per skill rank in each schools rank. This is not a request, just a suggestion. jet4571
I have a suggestion for you. Learn to use the CK and remove all the spells you dont want and have your own personal version of the mods. Just dont upload or distribute without permission. *edit, Just incase, I was not being sarcastic. it was an honest suggestion and if you follow it you will wonder why you never did it before. Tons of spells = no fun (??) = no download = missing out on a lot of fun = a life deprived of fun = depression because you have no fun = future death from derpression Please don't die! Try out some of the spell mods!
elseagoat
I tend to agree which is why I am making my own . Instead of 629 new fireballs and feather spells, I am trying to revamp the spells and perks for all shools so that they are actually interesting and have cool mechanics. Jakisthe
Most spell packs have the issue of waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many mechanically identical spells, but for those which actually offer changes (Apocalypse springs to mind), the diversity and inventiveness of the large number of spells is refreshing and interesting. AstralFire
While I would back Apocalypse on actually being very interesting and very worth a download, my spell pack is built with this in mind; there are only five spells in Restoration, handcrafted, and I'll be giving the same treatment to Alteration next. Eventually, I'll move on to all of the schools. Revenge of Colette - New Restoration Spells!

EnaiSiaion
I have about 140 spells but most of them actually are different. There are about 100 different effects in all. What you may be seeing is the lack of scripting in other (older) spell mods: without scripting, direct damage and standard status effects are pretty much all you can do. I think the limit is about 150 without creating repetitive or imbalanced spells. I just thought I'd say that with all the spell packs out there, there is not a single one that I would even consider downloading. Why? Because I do not want 100-400 new spells. I want one MAYBE two new spells per skill rank in each schools rank. And then you discover you don't have to keep every spell in your spellbook. --)+(-- Don't forget the point of a spell mod is not just to add new spells, but to make the magic system more fun. The default magic system goes more or less like this:Destruction: a grand total of 9 identical projectiles and 3 identical concentration spells; everything that isn't a projectile is useless except for the rare level 100 ritual spell if you are willing to abandon all realism and tank for 4 seconds while casting it.Alteration: annoying short duration armor, better annoying short duration armor, overpowered annoying short duration armor with even more annoying 4 second cast time.Illusion: fear calm anger, better fear calm anger, best fear calm anger with annoying 4 second cast time, all limited by monster level so it all becomes useless in the end.Restoration: heal, heal more, heal most, spook undead, scare undead, fear undead, horrify undead, terrify undead, top level circle that heals and spooks undead.Conjuration: summon something, summon something better, summon something even better, summon the same thing 4 times with a different level cap, then finally you get exactly the same summons as before with a longer duration. So you have no choice but to pretty much remake it, either by changing most of the existing spells or by giving players other options that are actually fun. phenderix
Okay - how a lot of people are indirectly negatively referencing my mod is really starting to piss me off. Almost every single spell contained in my mod has different effects. Maybe if you actually tried it out you would see that.Every single spell is different else why would I make it? Some are in different skills (conjuration, alteration, etc)Some damage different stats (magicka, stamina, etc)Cast timesMagicka and Damage balanceMany summons of different varying strengths Thank you have a nice day.(I believe there are many good spell packs - I just am fed up with so many people throwing my mod under the bus when I have spent put so much time and energy into creating it)
